Tokyo cried out as her body was enveloped in light...in the end results was an unconscious Melaney and wisps of shadow serpents crowding around her nervously.

"'Course I can," Tom replied. He had barely talked to Heidi all day. "Want a hand?"

Nathan sighed and with a wave of his hand caused a small smattering of ice cold water to splash onto Melaney's face. If that didn't work he had a needle of his blood to try and heal her with if needed.

Melaney started awake and rubbed her face. "Bleck..."

At that point, Sage had started her walk back home.

"You lost." Nathan commented unenthusiastically. I haven't had a good fight in ages.

"Hmmph..." Melaney grunted, sitting up into a cross-legged position.

"You okay?" Nathan queried, noticing she was sat within a small crater.

Melaney shrugged. "Been better...p-p-pain is n-n-nothing to me, now, th-though..."

"Thanks, Paul, and Tombo, don't worry, I got 'im," Heidi smiled, starting to walk out of the church, before her smile faded. "He attacked Simon and touched him, and Simon stabbed him," she explained quietly.

Tom kept silent at this, the stoic man not really sure how to express his shock.

"How are they both now? And how are you holding up?" he asked kindly. His news could wait until Heidi was okay.

[Stabberz]

"What hurts and what did I damage?" Nathan said flatly.

"Physically, Simon's good, I dunno about emotionally... Sage fixed Benji up, though I didn't really get to ask him how he was feeling, since he woke up long enough to see the blood on his shirt, vomit, and pass out again," Heidi responded, biting her lip. "I dunno how I'm doing. I d-don't know..."

"What, in the name of god, happened!?" Sage yelled at seeing a crater, in front of her house. Was it another trap? She didn't see Melaney or Nathan yet.

[Big Uri]

Tom patted her on the back, stoic face breaking to give her a comforting smile.

"You'll be fine. I know you, you're strong and you can manage. If you want support, I can stick around until after you talk to both of them," Tom told her, forgetting to say he was leaving.

"I-I just wanted to fix things," Heidi mumbled, stepping into her house, and putting Benji on the couch. "Where are you going?"

"I-i'm fine," Melaney mumbled.

[Big Uri]

"You did the best you could," Tom assured her, bedew taking a deep breath.

"There were a bunch of people in an amusement park with Flows that messed with people's minds. They caused Kriska to lose three years off her memory, and there's a couple of them up in the mountains that chased Kriska here. I'm going to go up there and teach them why messing around people's heads, especially my friend's, is a bad idea."

"Well you should go kick ass ASAP," Heidi responded, frowning slightly. "I'd come with, but...I can't. When are you leaving?"

[Big Uri]

"I was originally coming to say goodbye and get supplies, and since I only had to move the earth I've already gotten my supplies. But I dunno if now's a good time to leave you alone," Tom replied, a hint of worry in his low voice.

"I don't wanna hold y' back... This is important, isn't it?" Heidi told Tom, smiling weakly at him despite the fact he couldn't see it. "'Sides, I'm strong, aren't I?"

[Big Uri]

"Even strong people need help..." Tom replied, caught in indecision. Kriska's plight had struck a chord in him, he didn't like people messing about in others' heads as a rule, and when it was his long-lost team-mate who he'd presumed dead, it really riled him. It would have been the same if it was Heidi or Jayden.

"Tell you what, I'll head into the mountains and take care of them quickly before they leave that area, and I'll be back in a day or two. If Nate comes looking for me tell him where I am. Or tell him to piss off like usual, that's fine either," the big man replied, trying to cheer her up.

"Alright..." Heidi responded, pulling Tom into a hug. "Be careful."

[Big Uri]

Tom hugged her back, before walking over to a wall.

"You know me. Remember, I'm only leavin' cos' I have faith in you," he assured her. And then he had stepped into the wall and was gone.
