Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
Hours passed as the sun sank and rose again, dark clouds drifting over the area.
Kira glanced out of her home, noticing the trees blowing in the strong wind that was picking up. She would have to block the windows and doors and stay inside today, she figured. Getting sick was never a favorable thing. Pausing for a second and hoping that her friends were okay- especially Luke if it started to rain- she started to use her Flow to seal the door and windows to her house with vines. She carefully headed towards a corner in the darkness, trying not to start to panic at the walls closing in around her. Wrapping herself in her blanket, she sat and simply waited for the storm to pass, for a moment wishing she hadn't given her jacket to Luke.
Heidi stepped outside of her home, stretching and looking up at the gray sky. Gray meant rain, and the salty smell of rain certainly did fill the air. Just because there was rain didn't mean there wasn't work to be done. Someone had to tend to the crops, and that seemed to be all she was useful for nowadays.

Joey sighed as he ran through the village, to the next place he needed to visit, having gotten up an hour earlier then anyone else.
On rainy days, there were always reports of leaks, and it was his job to fix them, while still taking care of his normal duties.
Damnit...Why does it have to rain today... Joey thought. ...Maybe it will clear up before the afternoon...

Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
Elena was still asleep, as per usual, but her sleep was rather rested as she tossed and turned, before bolting straight up in bed, letting out a scream. That girl. Christina. The red head. She looked like Lacy. An older Lacy, sure but still, she looked like Lacy all the same.
Shivering as she got out of bed, only to be greeted by the brisk spring air, she crawled into Erika's bed, not wanting to be alone after the nightmares of the Storm she had.
---
Heidi wandered through town, making sure the crops were okay. Noticing that Joey was up as well, she nodded to him. "I'm going out to practice my Flow. If I don't come back, it'd be appreciated if Percy finds me and shuts off my Flow..." she said, a small frown curling at her lips.

Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
Christina was back in the church, which was where she was told to stay the night. She was looking out the window at the rain. She loved rain. It was fun to take walks in. She decided to take one of these rain walks, and stood up, walked over to the large doors, and opened them before slipping outside and letting them close behind her.
The walk gave her some time to think. Did she want to stay here? Or was it best that she leave? She was running out of choices of villages to settle down in. If she left, maybe she'd never find a village. Or she'd find the perfect village. If she stayed, she'd have to figure out why everyone gets so freaked out when the temperature drops, and why the temperature drops. Who were those people she saw in the forest? Christina really wanted to find out.
She stopped on the edge of the forest. If she went exploring, she could get in trouble with Erika and Adeline again. If she didn't, maybe she'd never know. She looked up at the tops of the trees as the rain dripped onto her face. She honestly had no idea what to do, which path to take from here.

Kira shivered, feeling someone feeling at the edge of her forest. The branches of trees curled menacingly towards the intruder.

Erika felt the pressure on her bed, opening her eyes to see that Elena had climbed into her bed again. Sighing, the woman wrapped an arm around the girl and started stroking her hair.
---
Simon was still fast asleep, his feet hanging off the edge of his bed again as he continued to outgrow the beds Joey had made for him.

Elena whimpered, shivering against Erika. "Nightmare...the Storm..." she mumbled in explanation.

Christina noticed the trees curling towards her. "Oh, that's neat!" she said, smiling a little.
Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
Kira shuddered, the stranger wasn't going away. Maybe if she just left it alone...

Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
Christina decided to climb one of the trees to see what might be causing it to curl like that. It wasn't all that windy, so it couldn't be the wind, so it must be something else. When she reached the top of the trees, she looked around. Nothing. Fascinating.
Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
From the midle of the forest, Christina could see a pale green glow.

Christina saw the glow, and that instantly aroused her curiousity to the point where she would hop down from the tree, and starting going toward it.
Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
Joey nodded to Heidi. "I'll make sure he does." He said, as he walked by.

Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
Oh god, the stranger was getting closer. More and more branches seemed to bar Christina's path the closer she got to the middle.
Heidi nodded in thanks, walking out of the village and stopping in a grassy area about a half mile away. She started to glow pale red, sensing animals scurrying about nearby. They were lucky, not having to worry about too much. The only thing they had to think about was their next meal. She had to think about that, Simon's safety, Tom and Eithne, her old teammates, Benji and even Mary... The animals' blood sure would look nice splattered against a tree. The blonde shook the murderous thought out of het mind, clenching her fists.

Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
Luke was scurrying through the forest, trying to keep out of the rain. It hurt a bit when it came into contact with his skin, his old weakness to water still playing up. His mind was elsewhere though, on his team-mates. He had sensed Tom leaving the mountain, and guessed he was going to the village. He knew the large man was close to Heidi, and it only made sense that he would go check on her and that kid who's name Luke couldn't remember. He needed to hear someone else's opinion on Nathan, and no one would know better than the man who lived near him for the past few years.
He set off towards the village, keeping out of the rain. He managed to keep his mind off Kira in favour of focusing on the task at hand.
-------------
Tom got little sleep as usual, afraid of the extent of Shima's control. Instead he spent the time meditating, which he found just as relaxing. He found it interesting how he could keep track of everyone in and around the village, just by their footsteps and Flow.

Nathan frowned from atop the mountain he was using Ice to block the rain and was instead frowning at the land scape.

Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
Heidi stiffened as she felt a human presence entering the area she was able to sense. A person. It might've been Luke from how hot his blood was, but with the heat and the limping it could be someone sick. Sick people were weak. Weak blood was easy to spill. She loved that deep crimson color, it contrasted so well with her pale complexion... No. Focus. She shook her head, resisting the urge to hunt down the person and slaughter them.

Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
Why was the forest getting thicker as she got closer to the light? Christina looked around behind her to make sure no one was following her, and kept walking, pushing past the branches.
Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
Soon a large tree came into view, its branches woven together to form a large enough box. It was obvious that that was the source if the glow.
Inside her home, Kira shivered in fright, simply willing the stranger away.

"A box?" Christina said curiously. "Hello? Is anyone there?" she called. "Hello?? I'm your friend, I just haven't met you yet. It would be nice if I could though!" she called out again.
Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
"G-G-Go...a-a-awa-away..." Kira stuttered, her voice barely carrying outside of her home. Why couldn't people just leave her alone? Plants didn't try to hurt you, or each other, they just survived. People scared her, plants didn't.

"Really, I don't mean to hurt you at all. In fact, I can stop you from getting hurt if you need it. I wouldn't let anyone get hurt." She said after she heard the stuttered response. "Can you come out? I want to see you." she asked.
Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
Kira shook her head, even though she knew the stranger couldn't possibly see her. "G-G-Go...a-a-away..." she repeated, vines sprouting around the tree. "Th-Th-The v-v-vill-villagers...i-i-if y-y-you w-wanna kn-kn-know s-so b-bad...a-ask them..." She didn't want to talk to this girl more than she needed to in order to make her go away.

"They don't like me very much." Christina admitted. "At least, that's the impression I'm getting from them."
Re: Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 1
"...G-Go b-back t-t-to th-the v-village..." Kira sighed, biting her lip nervously. The girl was obviously not someone from the tournament. It was no wonder that the other survivors didn't seem to like her, they all were a little paranoid. The bonds that had formed in the tournament didn't seem to have any intent to fade, which was why she was out isolated in this forest. Of course they wouldn't let an outsider in so easily.
