Seeing that Erika had stopped didn't deter from Elena's speed. She kept running, until she slowed to a stop, her legs feeling weak. She realized she'd barely eaten anything today or the day before, and tried to blink away the black dots crowding her vision. Unfortunately, that failed, and she hit the ground with a thump, unconscious.

It only took a few of his wind powered leaps for Zackary to spot the girl. He landed, and sighed.

"Boy, oh boy..." he said to the unconcious girl, picking her up and hoisting her over his shoulder. "Pretty mean of them to do these things without asking ya, eh?"

Luke shrugged again.

"Pretty crazy stuff out there. Even I felt the power, and I don't think there was lightning with that thunder."

Tom proceeded to move the earth they were on around the village, stopping at secluded and safe spots while trying to offer as good a view as he could. It was as much of a balancing act as anything, but it was stealthy.

Zackary started to walk back to the village with the girl over his shoulder. He gave a quiet sigh that he didn't take that long to actually find her, but it did help that she had fallen unconcious.

Heidi grabbed Tom's arm, trying to signal him to stop, before moving to follow a girl around her own age into a house.

"I think it's done," Luke replied reassuringly.

Tom stopped when he felt the touch, carefully and silently following Heidi. He wasn't sure if he should follow at all, but he thought that it was better to be safe than sorry.

"Ari, can you please turn around sl-" Heidi was cut off as the strawberry blonde turned around rather quickly, ramming her knee into Heidi's stomach, causing her to double over. "Ari, stop-" was all she got out before the girl jabbed Heidi's back, knocking her to the ground. "Ow..."

With that done, she turned to Tom, as if planning how to take him down next. She and Heidi were quite similar in looks in stature, though Ari was slightly shorter and more muscular. Her rather curly hair was pulled back in a ponytail that exploded into a mini afro behind her head. Her pale blue eyes were cold as she examined Tom. "Who are you?" she asked finally, keeping her defensive position. "How do you know my name?"

Tom glowed briefly with Flow, trying to sink the bottom of the girl's legs into the ground, just so she couldn't run away or kick the crap out of him, since he wouldn't be able to see punches coming.

Feeling her bare feet start to sink into the ground, Ari jumped back onto a table. "Who are you?" she repeated. "Answer me!"

With a groan, Heidi pushed herself to her feet, rubbing her back. "Goddammit, Ari, you got better at finding that pressure point... And honestly, y'don't recognize me? That hurts. I'm Heidi, remember?"

Tom remained silent. He knew it wasn't his place to interfere, but he wanted to remain vigilant in case Ari got violent again.

Ari remained silent, staring at Heidi. "That's bull. Heidi's been dead for six years. Even if she somehow survived, she wasn't anything like you. You're too loud. Tell me your real names," she frowned.

"My real name is Heidi Armistead!" the blonde protested, stamping her foot.

Ari frown deepened into a scowl. "Fine, where's that pocket knife Heidi always had after the Storm? She wouldn't ever let that thing go."

At this Heidi paled. The one thing she'd had as self-identification, she'd given away to Simon. "I...I don't have it..."

"And who're you? You're certainly not from around here. Too tall," Ari stated, crossing her arms.

"Just the way you talk, it's not like Heidi at all. She kind of stuttered, repeated herself a lot, was real quiet, never swore. She was a very good friend, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't soil her image."

Heidi sighed, chewing on her lip. "Fine. One summer we tried to dig a hole to the middle of the earth in your mom's flower garden. The summer before the Storm we were riding our bikes, and you fell off and broke your arm. You had a Siberian Husky named Socks. You're left handed. Do I need to go on?" she asked, digging through her pockets again.

Ari got down off the table, shaking slightly. If this was Heidi, and Heidi was dead, what did that make the big guy? God? She tackled Heidi in a hug, catching the girl by surprise. "You bitch, where have you been?!" she asked.

Heidi laughed. "It's a long story. But where's Benji? I need to see him, too..."

"He's probably off playing with Tracy and Seth, but you're not just going to go off again, are you?" Ari asked, a frown appearing on her face. She pulled away from Heidi.

The blonde sighed. "Yeah, I...need to go home..." At that, Ari punched Heidi in the jaw.

Tom didn't know what he could say or do, so he remained silent, albeit ready to restrain Ari if she followed up her attack.

"You show up, and then just leave?!" Ari demanded, clenching her fists angrily.

Heidi rubbed her jaw. "I probably deserved that, but I have other people I care about now. Just tell me where Benji is."

Ari looked resentfully at Heidi. "He's playing by the fountain."

"N-No, you come with," Heidi shook her head, stepping back outside. She didn't want to feel completely abandoned. She probably had the best chance with Ari of being forgiven, how would the others react? Either way, she needed to remind herself that she still had friends.
