~Physical Characteristics~

Name: Nika "Heaven" Makari
Age: 16
Weight: 125 lbs.
Height: 5'7"
Race: Human
Appearance: "A vicious smile formed upon the visage of the one who had leaped and landed in the city from above. The sound of her rather trendy heels clicking against the finely placed cobblestone of the street resounded through the area, mixing with the sounds of hot plates sizzling and the general sound of good cheer from the people that were enjoying the festival. For the occasion, the girl had most of her dark pink hair tied up in a ponytail while the rest formed her slightly long bangs and the rest neatly brushed and straight, cascading down the sides of her head. In it, she wore a blue butterfly pin that looks oddly realistic, almost as if it could take flight at any time. ... She was still wearing the outfit she normally did when performing her sky pirate duties: all black gear made of a leather-like material. Covering her top was a jacket-like garment that trailed down to her high heel-adorned feet, with the outer flaps colored in soft hues made to look like butterfly wings. Another pair of wings could be found on her back, half of which was exposed. The colors on those wings were a somewhat dark, yet pale purple which faded into a vibrant, dark tinted orange. Black straps with light, metal-colored buckles covered the front and adorned her black sleeves which failed to be attached to the main garment. They trailed down to her wrists where they flared out. Covering very little, she also wore dark, tight-fitting shorts which didn't even make it to mid-thigh, though the jacket helped in covering her. Her black stockings covered most of her legs." ~excerpt from Oblivion Phantasy: Chain of Dreams

~Background and Other Info~

History: A lifelong citizen of Estrella, Nika grew up as an orphan, both of her parents killed near the time of her birth. She was adopted into an orphanage for a long while, but feeling a restless desire to be free, the young girl fled the establishment in order to start her life as a common thief upon the streets. With her quick form and sharp mind, she was able to pull off theft after theft such that she could survive. She took down other criminals on the street which was how she discovered how in tune she was with wavelengths. It was a mere empathy, but she trained herself to eventually manipulate them. Her life was boring for the most part anyway; she had a lot of time to devote to the mastering of her ability. By the time she had reached a great potential, she was ready to broaden horizons so to speak. As such, in the dead of night, she stole into an airship hangar and successfully caused a large enough diversion for her to escape with an airship called Dimension Gate which was a prototype of an airship enchanted with dimension magic which became its namesake. With it's powers, she was able to make an effortless escape along with making herself a wanted criminal. She had become a sky pirate, and that's what she would do for the rest of her life. Recruiting the people who were doing maintenance on the ship before as her new crew, she started what would mark the best period of her existence--as long as she didn't get caught.

Personality: Nika is a sadomasochist who revels in the idea of valuable treasures, destruction, and severe pain. Though afflicted with a bout of insanity, her mind is still somewhat keen. She's quick to resort to violence and often doesn't discriminate between friend and foe. Reckless to no end, if her stunts wind up with her getting hurt, it merely turns her on, making her hunger for more blood and pain. As long as the people around her are adventurous, she's typically nice to them. Otherwise, they're in great danger. She's been known to rape with her targets being mostly young girls. She gets frisky and when that happens, something's got to give. Her spirit of adventure doesn't end at just traveling around the world. A positive thing, that would be really--her being open-minded. Lost souls, rebels, and the scorned will all find solace in Nika's embrace, for she empathizes with them the most. She aims to make the weak strong, and those who are extremely loyal to her receive her utmost respect and are in the least danger around her.

Weapons: In combat, Nika wields a rapier with a blade coated in a film of poison which typically slips into wounds opened by the weapon without notice. She also has knowledge of using cannons, as her airship, Dimension's Gate, is equipped with them.

Abilities/Skills: Nika possesses the ability to manipulate wavelengths of any sort, able to use them in a variety of ways to amplify her attacks while using them directly to assault her enemies. She also possesses a great control over electricity, and with that control, she undergoes a Phase Shift in which she is consumed by the power of lightning while also being able to utilize her deadliest techniques. Doing so takes up a ton of her energy, however. If Phase Shift doesn't successfully take out a foe, she's most likely going to be helpless afterwards.

~Physical Characteristics~

Name: Swift (formerly Samuel Gawdren)
Age: 24
Weight: 146 lbs.
Height: 6'1"
Race: Human
Appearance: Swift is a rather tall, slender individual with pale skin that's often covered in grime. He wears beige dress pants and a slightly messy white shirt that often doesn't escape the grime of his work either. He is always found wearing his brown leather tool belt covered in pouches and loops for holding wrenches and screwdrivers. On his feet, he wears black boots, and on his rather feminine face, he wears spectacles with oval lenses and a silver frame. Short, wavy blond hair is often styled with gel, and his emerald eyes shine from behind his glasses as if he constantly gets ideas.

~Background and Other Info~

History: When Swift was born, it was easy to tell that he was going to be a genius. He learned much faster than kids his age, and when it came to education, he skipped so many levels due to his individual pursuit of knowledge and intellectual capabilities. In truth, he could have done anything he wanted in life, but he was born in Estrella--a city found in the heart of a nation of science devoted to reaching the stars one day. As such, Swift decided to become an engineer, and with his smarts, found a job working at the Estrella Airship Research and Development Department. However, while working on a prototype enchanted craft at one of the outer hangars of the facility, he found himself suddenly under siege by a menacing young girl named Nika Makari. With not much choice but to follow her commands, he found himself a part of her crew which turned out not to be such a bad thing after all.

Personality: Swift is a genius of an engineer, but he's humble despite the fact that he's intelligent. Looking down upon those who are arrogant with a frown, he typically stays quiet and prefers to work alone. When among people, he seems generally charismatic, liking to tease sometimes, but doesn't tend to get too engrossed in conversation for very long. In large group discussions, he often doesn't talk at all. He's easily embarrassed and hates to be the butt of the joke.

Weapons: Wrenches, screwdrivers, and other tools. He can also construct small clockwork automata using spare parts and old circuitry. These automata often don't last very long and are easily deconstructed. Depending on the condition of the parts though, he might be able to salvage them again.

Abilities/Skills: Besides his prodigal engineering, he also possesses the power of super speed. There's a reason he was renamed "Swift" by Nika. Using this ability, however, for too long in one go causes severe shortness of breath which is enough to disable him for quite some time.

~Physical Characteristics~

Name: Bulwark (formerly Gerald Elshwarz)
Age: 31
Weight: 312 lbs.
Height: 6'4"
Race: Human
Appearance: A very large gentleman, Gerald towers over most people and his muscular girth is intimidating. He's a gruff looking fellow with a thick head of messy, dark brown hair, and a full beard and mustache to go along with it. His skin is tanned and mostly smeared with grease and dirt. He wears large goggles on his forehead that he uses to protect his honey-colored eyes for certain tasks. He wears large grey cotton pants with light grey suspenders, and when he's not walking around shirtless, he wears a dirty white dress shirt with most of the top buttons undone. A golden ring can be seen on his right ring finger--a wedding band. His arms and chest are hairy, and on his large feet he wears thick leather boots.

~Background and Other Info~

History: Weighing in at just a little over ten pounds at birth, it was written in the stars that Bulwark was going to be large fellow. His body grew faster than normal, but his mind remained average. As such, many people picked on him for his abnormal size, but he paid them no mind. He was a gentle giant, and he managed to make a few friends. However, it came to be that if those friends were ever threatened, Bulwark would unleash utmost hell on the tormentors. In the days of his later education, he focused on mechanics, for the concept of actual engineering proved way too much for him to comprehend. Regardless, upon learning what he needed to know, he was signed on to work as a mechanic at the Estrella Airship Research and Development Department. Over the years, he picked up tidbits of engineering knowledge from his co-workers and through practice. He became a valuable member of the department and wound up marrying one of the female engineers. Together they bore a son and a daughter, but one day while working late at night on a certain enchanted prototype airship, Bulwark was torn away from his family and his life and forced to serve Nika Makari who stole the airship he was working on. Though resenting the young girl entirely, he still protects her as if she were his own daughter with hopes that maybe one day she'd let him see his family again.

Personality: A quiet boy, Bulwark grew up to be a rather loud, outgoing man. He loves to be in good cheer, and loves it even more when the people around him are happy. He's a drinker, and he's not afraid to get down when the going gets tough whether he's of sound mind or not. He possesses loyalty unknown to many, and he would gladly risk his life to save the ones he cares about. In his free time, he loves to work; he's definitely a working man who loves his job. The prototype Dimension's Gate tends to be in need of constant mechanic work, so being trapped on the ship wasn't such a bad thing. He also has a decent sense of adventure. He had never seen anywhere outside of Estrella until Nika had stolen the airship and he got tugged along for the ride. A part of him wants for his family to be able to see the sights that he has been able to see.

Weapons: A giant piece of lumber. He also has the ability to improvise weaponry out of other large, blunt objects.

Abilities/Skills: Bulwark possesses immense strength and endurance. Aside from that, he also has the ability to convert harm onto someone he cares about to harm upon himself, essentially taking their hits in the form of metaphysical damage while the primary target of the enemy's attacks escapes unscathed.

~Physical Characteristics~

Name: Sirius
Age: 16
Weight: 137 lbs.
Height: 5'10"
Race: Unknown
Appearance: Rather tall, he has a straight stature that seems eerily perfect. He garbs himself in black cloth, layered, from head to toe that not a single part of his body can be seen. A single, short scope jets out of one eye with a red lens, while the other eye is obscured by the cloth that covers his entire head. He wears dark gloves and heavy black boots with adjusted soles for increased stealth qualities. The gloves are extremely thick and perfect for not leaving fingerprints behind. He is known to hide daggers within the cloth that covers his body, usually in random places that he switches up every now and again to keep people on their toes and to keep himself unpredictable.

~Background and Other Info~

History: Ever since Sirius was a small child, he had shown qualities that were rather...intriguing, to say the least. He preferred to be off by himself, just watching the things that went on around him. His parents were always scared; sometimes they would see him just sitting and think he wasn't breathing, but upon closer inspection, he always was. As he grew older, he turned out to be rather curious. His communication skills did increase slightly, but he still preferred to be by himself. Loving to learn, he was able to make friends in early years, but as things progressed, he was ridiculed for being a 'nerd' which he didn't understand. He shrugged off the taunts easily which caused the other kids to hate him even more. Eventually, it came to the point where he didn't want to go to regular school anymore. He spent a lot of his time self-educating himself, not to mention developing his gift which he named Nonexistence. It was perfect for describing how he felt sometimes--like he wasn't there. He noticed he had a knack for stealth and sneaking by people without them noticing. As such, he spent a lot of time doing freelance security jobs, but eventually found himself situated at the Estrella Airship Research and Development Department working a security shift at night to keep an eye on the airships in the case renegades aimed to steal one. Surely enough, one night came where a young girl raided the department and made off with one of the airships, but all Sirius could do was clamber aboard the ship himself...and watch.

Personality: Sirius is actually a really nice boy despite the creepy and interesting appearance, and he gets along well enough with others. He can even be kinda snarky sometimes. It just depends. His hobbies include watching...pretty much anything. He likes to watch. He also enjoys reading and keeping his daggers in pristine condition. It's not uncommon for him to play darts with anyone who feels like challenging him to a game. He has deadly aim, so it's a good test of abilities for challengers. Another quirk is that no one has seen what lies beneath the cloth. No one. He arrived at the Estrella Airship Research and Development Department garbed as he was a couple of years ago and since then, no one could tell you what he looked like. He refuses to show anyone, and somehow, he manages to elude anyone who tries to sneak up on him while he isn't garbed which led to a rumor being started about what's really under there. Mix in a robotic, monotone voice and the fact that it hardly ever looks like he's breathing and you've one hell of a mystery to investigate.

He also only goes by his first name. No one knows what his last name is either.

Weapons: Exactly seven daggers that he keeps lodged safely in his clothes, unnoticed by those around him for they are kept well hidden.

Abilities/Skills: The ability Sirius was gifted with and trained for many years prior to getting a job was the ability to make himself completely invisible, but not just that. If someone bumped into him, they would not know. They would go right through him. It would be like he wasn't even there. He is able to use the ability as often as he likes, but while using it, he is unable to do anything such as attack or even move. He is stuck in one position and forced to watch, which is his specialty. He is working on being able to 're-exist' in a different location after using the ability, but he has not even come close to mastering such a complex art. He hopes to manage to do it eventually.

He also has a decent mastery of darkness magic, the word 'decent' being used loosely. He also has another ability that has never been witnessed by a living being who managed to survive to tell about it, and as such will remain a secret.

~Physical Characteristics~

Name: Ein
Age: 22
Weight: 149 lbs.
Height: 6'0"
Race: Human
Appearance: A tall man with a lithe figure, Ein has tan skin, crimson eyes and somewhat long, spiky white hair mostly brushed back with a section of it hanging down on the right side of his head. His large, cute ears are pierced in several places in which he wears various earrings and chains. His body is covered with loose-fitting white oriental garments with black stripes and borders. He wears black leather boots, and all over his main garments he wears back straps and belts with silver buckles and chains. He also has a pair of white gloves with strange black symbols on the back of each that are tied into his alchemy. There's an amethyst jewel embedded right in the center of each of the symbols on the gloves.

~Background and Other Info~

History: Ein was a genius since birth, able to speak and make simple connections to things and their functions and names under the age of two. He showed remarkable renown, and an eagerness to learn that wound up getting him taken away from his parents and raised and guarded by the military of Nirshire. To them, Ein was an asset that could become one of their greatest weapons, and as such, they did whatever it took to make sure he mastered his teachings. He took a particular liking to alchemy, so that's what they allowed him to focus on, and unbelievably, he was a master of the art before the age of ten. For years and years after that, he practiced his art, the trust the higher ups in the military had placed in him a ticket for him to travel all about Nirshire in order to get the lay of the land along with broadening his horizons even more than they had already been broadened. Regardless, he now resides in Spire where he awaits a time when he might be needed in battle, though the politics of Nirshire have become increasingly interesting as of late...

Personality: Because of his vast intelligence, Ein is a stuck up, arrogant bastard, and that's just being kind. He dislikes associating with people of lesser intelligence, and only those who have proved themselves worthy gain respect from him. He has no problems with authority figures and can conduct himself civilly in their presence. Otherwise, he's incredibly condescending. He likes to practice his alchemy and read, but that just about encompasses all of his hobbies. He's also nice to those who show genuine interest in alchemy, or at least he's nicer to those people than anyone else (besides those who earn his respect legitimately.)

Weapons: Gloves. The gloves aid in his activation of alchemic abilities, and he's not afraid to punch a fucker in the face either.

Abilities/Skills: Ein is a prodigal alchemist with unbelievable comprehension of alchemic knowledge. Completely in tune with the art, he is capable of instant transmutation of the things around him. Particularly complex transmutations still take time based on the complexity. Because of his extensive knowledge and unrivaled creativity, he is likely to surprise enemies with his innovative transmutations. He also has the ability for his clothes to instantly augment into armor upon being struck. The augmentations stack upon each other until he reaches a defensive peak.

~Physical Characteristics~

Name: Magnus Faircloth
Age: 26
Weight: 132 lbs.
Height: 5'10"
Race: Human
Appearance: Of average height and lean build, Magnus doesn't appear to be much of a knight, but what he lacks in bulk, he makes up for in agility. He wears a green overcoat with white hems, and atop that he wears his armor: a plate of black steel covering the left shoulder, and two other plates of the same metal covering his torso and back. He wears matching gauntlets and wields an impressive lance called the Fallen Octane, possessing a sleek shaft made of some polished ebony wood and a silver tip with silver wyvern wings depicted open in flight at the base of the metal part. He wears a couple of belts, both with thin framed golden buckles, and on his lower half, he wears leather pants and greaves that match his gauntlets and the rest of his metal armor. His skin is flawless and lightly tanned. He has spiky black hair and wears a red cloth headband with a white border, worn at an angle to keep the bangs on the right side of his face out of his face.

~Background and Other Info~

History: Born in the Western province in the country of Aeneryia, Magnus had a humble beginning as the son of a great tanner and a seamstress, the former being originally from the North province. A restless man, Magnus's father departed his province in favor for the meadow of the west where he was substantially happier, especially when he met the woman who would become his wife. They took residence at the capitol, The Tower, and that was where specifically Magnus was born. Ever since his birth, that was where he resided, and when he was old enough, he began to learn his father and mother's trades. He proved to be a natural, but he definitely wasn't like them. He was a serious kid, and he tended to be...distracted by something. When asked by his parents what was wrong, he told them that he could hear voices in the distance. The source of the voices remained undiscovered for the longest of time, but they persisted through the years as Magnus grew. There came a point where Magnus grew weary of such mundane trades, and in order to escape his seemingly inevitable fate, he started honing his fight skills in the wilderness outside The Tower. When he was confident enough, he started entering tournaments whenever they popped up. Wielding an heirloom lance gifted to him by his father, he defeated many a foe in combat. When the time finally came for him to participate in the larger tournament held in order to find a replacement for a Scale of Io, he knew that it was his chance to escape at last. Entering the tournament with everything on the line, he mowed through the ranks until the final match which proved to be the toughest he had faced. With masterful movements, patience, and strategy, he was able to outmaneuver and overwhelm his opponent at last, seizing victory along with a spot in the Scales of Io.

It wasn't until Magnus was spirited away to the central province that he finally understood where the voices were coming from. It turned out that he had an ability to telepathically communicate with dragons, both wild and tame, and as such, would prove a valuable asset. Regardless, he was sworn in as a Scale of Io and granted his embroidered cloak signifying his allegiance to the nation and the High King to whom he was sworn to protect at the cost of his life which he didn't mind at all. This was the life he had sought after, and the one he had rightfully seized for himself after years of training, tears, and blood. His triumph was built upon a foundation of both victories and defeats. However, from this point out, he sought only victory, for his actions now reflected the actions of the High King whom he would never deign in his entire life to disrespect. And to this day, he upholds the honor of the High King and continues to serve and protect with no intention of giving up.

Personality: Magnus is a rather serious and tolerant individual with a vast reservoir of patience that could possibly be envied. When he has downtime, he's actually much more laid back and a bit more lighthearted--it's really his job that he takes most seriously, along with any tasks that come along with it. One thing he doesn't tolerate is fooling around on the job where the High King's life may or may not be in danger. He is extremely loyal and would never betray the High King, nor one of his fellow Scales of Io. He has a strong sense of compassion and brotherhood, and though capable of fighting on his own, he is invaluably stronger when fighting alongside those he trusts. In his free time, he likes to work with clothes as a tribute to his mother and father's trades, and it seemed that they taught him well in his childhood, for he can design and sew new clothes quite easily and he does it well. He also values his personal space, and though cherishes the bonds he's formed with people and dragons, he still finds sanctuary in being alone, mainly to organize his thoughts, for his job is rather taxing on both the body and the mind.

Weapons: Mastery of spears and lances, knowledge on using short swords. His main weapon is the lance, Fallen Octane, which used to be a legendary spear rumored to possess such great magic that it could decimate armies by itself. However, it was cursed by a witch causing the extendable prongs to rot and fall off one by one until only the main arrowhead remained which was later reworked into a lance. The magic has been drained from it, as far as Magnus knows. It might not even be the genuine article, but the description of the reworking is pretty dead on.

Abilities/Skills: Magnus has the ability of draconic telepathy allowing him to telepathically communicate with dragons should the need arise. Dragons that become allies of Magnus form special bonds with him that gives him their strength for as long as they are "together as one."
