Re: Runic
"..." James was silent. "Why didn't you try to find out, before attacking us?"

Re: Runic
"You can't tell until they show their powers," Kaizo said, shrugging. "And people are more likely to use them when they feel endangered."
Re: Runic
Wayne yawned and rubbed his eyes, he wasn't all that tired though, just kind of bored. He thought about eating a cookie but decided against as Sam might eat his face off for eating one of her cookies. "Murder is an uncomfortable topic for me, so I'd really appreciate moving on to something else if no one else minds."

Re: Runic
"I just need to double check I don't get charged with aiding and abetting a criminal." Sam shrugged.
Re: Runic
"So...I'm like...stuck with this thing?" James asked, referring to the rune.

Re: Runic
"I've never killed...a human, at least," Kaizo said, before turning to James. "Pretty much."
Re: Runic
"Of course..." James said with a sigh.

"...I don't think I'll be able to get used to my clothes burning up, every time I use it." James said, starring at his shirt, which was slightly burnt, and missing a sleeve.

Re: Runic
Sam cackled at his response. "I'm liking my new friends. They're awesome, and I make them blush. Life is good." She went into the cabinet and got a glass and filled it with water from the tap. She sipped it while trying to think of something to do while they waited for the laundry. "Wayne, do you have any awesome movies to watch?" she asked.
Re: Runic
Wayne had followed the conversation but had kept out of it. Like he said, he didn't like talking about murder. His parents had been murdered so it only made sense for him to feel like that. Sam's question brought him out of his daze. "Oh uhm yeah I do, I watched it the other day so it should still be in the case over by the DVD player." Serenity was one of his favorite movies along with The Count of Monte Cristo and Toy Story, which was the last movie he and his mom had watched together before she died and all three were usually out. He was tired though so he probably wouldn't be able to keep awake that long. "James you should probably get home before someone gets worried about you."

Re: Runic
"James! You should be in our sleepover too! Let's have fun!" she said happily, going over to the TV where the DVD player was. "Hm... Serenity. Looks pretty interesting." she said, popping the DVD in.
Re: Runic
Kaizo rolled his eyes, going back into asshole mode. He didn't really feel like staying around, but...hey, why not.
Re: Runic
"My parents don't get home till pretty late." James said with a frown. "They most likely won't notice I'm gone for the night..."

Re: Runic
"Yay! Go and get some pajamas or something." she ordered as the dryer buzzed. The washer had long finished up, and she went back down the hall to where they were. She pulled on her warm shirt and put Wayne's old shirt, now folded, in one of the drawers. She switched the wet clothes into the dryer and then went hunting around the room for the medium and colored clothes and dumping them in the washer with some soap and starting it.
She returned to the living room with a smile on her face. "I love the feeling of clothes that are fresh out of the dryer. They're warm and toasty." she said happily, flopping down on the couch.

Re: Runic
Wayne took a seat next to Sam for pretty obvious reasons. That reason being the middle cushion is the one that conforms to him the most. And Sam. That too was a deciding factor. He yawned and rubbed his eyes again. The chances Wayne would make it through the entire movie were pretty slim. "Thanks for cleaning up after a messy millionaire Sam."

Re: Runic
"Millionaire? No way are you really a millionaire." Sam shoved him playfully. "And no problem. I blame my OCD. Happy I have a shirt on?" she asked, a smile on her lips.
Re: Runic
"I wasn't complaining earlier about your lack of a shirt. I was merely trying to be a nice guy." Wayne stopped and thought for a moment, deciding how he should tell her about his money. When he spoke again it just loud enough for Sam to hear. "Well, Sam, I got my scars in a fire. That fire killed my parents who were successful business people. They think someone wanted them out of the way but no one has been caught yet. Anyways, as their only child I inherited everything from them and I got it all when I turned 18. So I am a millionaire with other money already wisely invested or saved." Wayne hadn't told anyone about that in a long time and it felt good to get off his chest. "Don't tell anyone."

Re: Runic
"Damn. I'm impressed. Fancy man. Sorry about your folks though. I guess your case is better than mine." she said, her voice turning a little more serious. She frowned and wrapped her arms around her chest, shuddering at the memories. "I don't want to talk about mine though."
Re: Runic
"I don't quite understand how my case is better than yours. Sure I got the money but I'd trade it all to have my family back. I'm alone in this world now. But it's okay that you don't want to talk about it. I didn't talk for four years after the fire and I still hate my scars." Wayne thought about grabbing a blanket for her or something so he decided to ask her. "Do you need a blanket or something?"

Re: Runic
"No, I'm fine. Just... bad memories." she said, trying to focus on the movie. "Don't worry about it. It's fine." she said, shrugging it off like it was no big deal.
