Re: Train of the Afterlife
Hero shrugged. "Have to start somewhere...sides, I want to know why I'm like this."

"...Very well, then," Mary said, pulling out four random cards from the deck. The Hermit, The Wheel of Fortune, Justice, and The Sun.

OOC: ...I'm not sure how that would translate...

OOC: You don't have to use all the cards. If you're really stumped, then you can just use one or two.

Nana was sitting a little ways off from the other's groaning. It's hurting again... curse train sickness...

"It'll be fun, eh? Fun doing what?" Vet asked Ono, raising an eyebrow.

"I dunno, having fun! I'm having fun right now, see?" Ono laughed. "You could be having fun too, like me, if you'd loosen up a little!"

"How can you be having fun not doing anything?" Vet asked confusedly.

"I'm not doing nothing, I'm just doing something that no one can see," Ono tried to explain, sighing exasperatedly. Vet, for as smart as he was, was really stupid sometimes...

"What's that then?" Vet asked, his interest piqued.

"It's called 'imagination,'" Ono answered, waving his/her hands majestically. "I can see a rabbit, chomp!, eating your head. 'Cept there is no rabbit, let alone one eating your head."

Vet almost sighed, stopping himself but thinking that Ono must have been a four year old when she died.
"Yeah..." he trailed off, but the sarcastic 'that sounds like it could happen' was almost implied.

"I did, I just have two things called cynicism and common sense," Vet retorted.

"Vet, Ono has a point." Nana said. "A little imagination can keep us from being bored to death..."

"On journey this long, boredom is an accepted inevitability," Vet shrugged. Naive children, he thought.

"Then keep your cynicism to yourself." Nana replied bluntly, before turning to Ono. "Why don't you think of a story?"

Re: Train of the Afterlife
"Hm..." Ono trailed off in thought. "Bang! I got it! Once upon a time, there was a very pretty trapeze artist. She was so pretty that all the men wanted to lock her up in their towers forever, like a dragon. She liked being free and swinging on her trapeze, so whenever the men came to capture her, she just turned into a bird and woosh! She flew away, so no one could ever keep her captive."

Nana smiled. "That sounds like a very nice story so far."

"And then, then woosh! She kept flying and flying until she wanted to land and be a person again, but she couldn't, and she was stuck as a bird. Eventually she stopped thinking like a person and started thinking like a bird. But that was okay, because birds don't need to worry at all," Ono paused in thought. "Y'know, I think I'd like to be a bird."

"Being a bird in your next life sounds nice." Nana nodded. "...But I'm afraid of heights." She didn't know how she knew this, but she did.
