Train of the Afterlife

[Shadoe Mayari]

Mary sighed and looked out of the window, trying to see past the dense, white fog. The more she looked, the more curious she became. What was on the other side of the mist?
She closed the curtain and pulled out her deck of tarot cards. Might as well.

[Rose Hathaway]

Magic woke up from a nap, and yawned. She grinned as she looked around. "Hello?" she called out.

"Poof!" Ono cried out, jumping up behind Magic. "What'cha doin', lazy?" he/she asked.

[Rose Hathaway]

"Lazy? This train put me to sleep!" she protested, laughing.

"I don't ever sleep," Ono answered with a whistle.

[Rose Hathaway]

"You need to sleep at some point, you'll need your energy!" Magic said.

[quackers are yummylicious]

"Nope, I don't ever, ever sleep. 'Cuz when you do, bang!, people can get to you," Ono stated in reply.

[Book the Hero]

Hero yawned, wondering exactly how long he had been on this train. "...Morning..."

[Rose Hathaway]

"Not on here. The only one people really have to worry about it you coming up behind us and scaring the piss out of us." Magic laughed.

[Big Uri]

Vet sat sat it the corner, hunched over slightly, his head pointing slightly downwards. His eyes looked out at all of the happier spirits while he himself shunned company.

"They don't come up behind me because they all know I'd squash them like bugs," Ono answered, before looking over his/her shoulder and waving to Vet. "Come, and be merry with the rest of us! We can all have a blast!"

[Rose Hathaway]

"I wish we knew where we were going...." Magic sighed. "Seriously, how long have we been here? Two days? It's getting ridiculous."

[Shadoe Mayari]

Mary shrugged when she heard Magic. "We all have our own destinations. Who knows, maybe you'll be coming off at your stop today."

"Yeah, that sounds likely," Vet replied in a quiet bass voice. "Thanks, but no thanks."

[Book the Hero]

Hero sighed, before beginning to whistle.

This was going to be a long train ride.

"Way to be mysterious, Mary," Ono said, singing out an eerie "Ooh wee ooh" before scowling at Vet. "Please? It'll be fun!"

[Rose Hathaway]

"But then I might not like my destination." Magic said, sighing.

[quackers are yummylicious]

"It's not the destination that matters, but the journey," Ono raised a finger, for once sounding vaguely serious.

[Big Uri]

"Well surely they're both equally important," Vet replied stolidly, not budging from his corner.

[Rose Hathaway]

"You sound like Confucius or something." Magic rolled her eyes.

[Shadoe Mayari]

Mary shrugged. "Maybe you'll be reborn." She pulled out four random cards from her deck, The Hanged Man, The Fool, The Devil, and The Tower. She frowned at the cards and shuffled them back into the deck, deciding not to get that kind of memory yet.

OOC: I used a random number generator for the cards, and this is what I got. ^^'

Hero stood up, before walking over to Mary. "How are the cards working, for ya?"

"I got a bad set," Mary said, shrugging. "I'd rather not start the day with a bad memory."

Hero nodded, understanding. "...Mind if I try?"

"...Are you sure? You might not like what you see," Mary said.
