There was once a wise and powerful king named Collumar. As a child, he received a light from a woman of the stars, which burned a mark into his body. The mark shone with the brilliance of youth, and so he became known as “Collumar the Radiant”. When “tamed”, or apprivoised (meaning “to tame the mark”), the radiance grew to give him extraordinary powers, even power over time and space itself. However, he did not intend to keep this power for himself. He decided to split the power between himself and seven of his most trusted servants, burning similar marks into their chests. He then entrusted his remaining power to his two eldest children, Ayin, who was given the mark of time, and Ande, who was given the mark of space. The advisors had also divided the powers between family members, as per the king's request. Finally, Collumar gave four young women, the ones who watched his children, the power to take away and grant people power of the marks. Twenty-two marks were created in total.

When Collumar passed away, his eldest son, Ande, became his successor. Still young and foolish, his older sister, Ayin, took well advantage of him. However, once he realized that he was just being a toy for his sister, he ordered his caretakers to take away her mark. But Ayin, who apprivoised with the ability to stop time, easily evaded them and escaped the kingdom. She visited often, usually to attempt to overthrow her brother and claim the throne. She would often fail, but occasionally she would successfully charm another mark bearer, and bring him to her side.

When the last mark bearer had passed away, everyone thought that it was finally over, and that they could live in peace again without fearing Ayin's attacks. But, when Ande's grandson apprivoised, they knew they had trouble on their hands. When the young child first apprivoised, he not only regained Ande's powers, but also his memories. The marks continued to appear on their descendents for centuries, and so the battle raged on.

So...yeah. 21st century and the marks are still around. And Ayin is still a vengeful bitch.

Yes, this is semi-based off of Star Driver. Except darker and without the giant mecha. I want to see who's interested first before I reveal anything else and do the mark claiming thing. So, yeah. Cat Smile
