Country info: Eshdao
Eshdao is a rich, isolated country located on a high peninsula in southeast Galamion. It is separated from the rest of the world by the vast ocean and magical reenforced walls. They make no contact with the outside world, in fact, the high-class are not allowed to go past The Wall, else they'll be killed on the spot. (However, escape isn't impossible, but it's extremely difficult. Especially if you're a Mage.) Eshdao is a small country, probably about an eighth of the size of Planaya.
The economy isn't the best. There's a very wide gap between the rich and the poor, and the middle class is non-existent. The gap gets wider the farther you get from The Wall and the closer you get to Iamayr.
The capital is Iamayr, also known as the City of Mages and the magic capital of the world. Of course, all of the Mages here come from wealthy families and can afford magic training. The Mage Tower is also located here, a tall misshaped tower where all the Mages-in-training and their servants live. Eshdoans rely on magic more than technology.
Eshdao is ruled by a king. A ruling family presides over each of the six provinces (not Iamayr), and report to the king regularly. Nobles titles are inherited, and those of nobility are exempt from taxes and stuff.
Eshdoans are kinda racist. Basically, light skin represents the high class, who stay inside practicing magic. Dark skin represents the low class, who are usually outside working in the sun.
Eshdao does have its own language. To a Planayan, an Eshdoan accent sounds kinda like an Arabian accent.
Also, keep in mind that most Eshdoans that can be found outside of the country generally will have no knowledge of magic.
The Six Provinces (richest to poorest):
Iamayr
-capital and home to the Mage Tower
Damanga
Guitasa
-lots of gardens and flowers and shit
Laham
-largest population in Eshdao; people do it a lot here
-where the rich provinces and the poor ones meet
Azaria
-lots of farmland and castles
-the Azarian manor
-haunted ghosties and stuff
Obbo
-shit province
-poorest of the poor, horrible living conditions, etc.
Eshdoan Magic is much more complex and hard to master, but much more powerful than most other forms of magic. Most spells require the caster to trace runes with their wand in order for them to work.
The greatest wizards, the Twenty-Two Sages, reside in Eshdao. They are masters of spell-casting, Alchemy, and controlling Familiars.
