Hacking the Multiverse
Today's world is one of technology. Everyone is seeking out that new experience, that new thrill. Something immersive to distract from the monotony of everyday life.
People want the chance to be someone else.
The popular gaming magazine GameBro (shameless Homestuck reference) has held a contest in order to select the beta players for a new MMORPG (The name has yet to be determined) slotted for release in the new future. You are one of the lucky (or unlucky) subscribers to be chosen for this once in a lifetime experience!
You and four thousand and ninety nine other readers are sent packages in the mail, each containing a copy of the game and a colour coded ring pertaining to their class, to be used as an entry item, along with very specific instructions as to how to begin the game.
Players are grouped into teams ahead of time, based on an almost eerie knowledge of personal traits. Because luck is a bitch, every single player on your team has received a corrupted ring. It stands to reason that this may not be a unique scenario.
Instead of taking you to the standard character customization screen, you are shoved directly into the game as your account avatar (the one on this site, if applicable). This could be a good or bad thing. Either your character ends up being a sad piece of shit, or you could end up with some pretty rad special abilities. Just hope for the latter.
Pretty soon, people start getting injured, as is expected. What isn't expected is the fact thar these things hurt like a bitch, and are looking mighty real. Upon recognizing real danger, people try to hop back out of the game, only to find that the same seemingly omnipotent entity that has corrupted your rings has fucked with the coding so badly that no one knows how to escape the game.
So, I feel obligated to ask: Who's in?
And you all totally just lost the game.

Perfect! I'll probably wait until tonight to make an OOC, but I plan on always having it open to new characters.

Re: Hacking the Multiverse
Just to be clear, this will be a Blossoming level RP, so at least a paragraph a post. But please, don't let that scare you. You definitely are not expected to post as often as you would be with shorter posts.
I'm planning on having this get pretty intense, with multiple baddies, "seasons", and possibly even crossovers with other RPs! The nice thing about this RP is that literally anything will be possible. Sick of playing a character? Just kill 'em off and make another. I want this RP to appeal to all sorts of roleplayers.
You will need to be committed. That doesn't mean you can't leave the RP, but you CANNOT just disappear. I NEED NEED NEED to know about long term absences, or your character will meet a batshit crazy death.
Expect tons of conspiracies and plot twists no one knows about. This shit is gonna go on for a while.

Nargle, you have most likely brought another exciting RP that will bring more members to the site.
Re: Hacking the Multiverse
Man, I'm going to really subtly nag on people to join this bitch.
WITHOUT EATING A BAN, OF COURSE. My advertising will be as sneaky as fuck. I'll be like a ninja polar bear in a snow storm.

Re: Hacking the Multiverse
I really don't think I'll have commitment issues because I -should- be able to post every other day if not literally every day lol. Also thank goodness it's a Blossoming RP, I cannot keep up with the posting speed/lack of detail in a post in a Budding one. =V
