Nathan's eyebrow rose as he realized how little the female was wearing. "You did promise me..." he said, trying to ignore the fact that girl who he was probably the closest thing to a significant other he had at the moment was wearing not a lot of clothing.

Kira frowned slightly, twiddling her thumbs. "I d-dunno, I think...she's j-just scared. I-I mean, something bad probably h-happened to her f-for her to be like that," she mumbled. Sara kind of reminded her of herself, right after the Storm. It was only really because of the tournament that she could stay near people without the urge to run away.

Kira blushed a little, squeezing Luke's hand. "I love you," she murmured after a few seconds. For a moment she wondered what would happen if he died in the battle, but quickly pushed that thought to the back of her mind.

"I love you too," Luke replied simply, the meaning evident in his voice. He idly wondered what he would do without Kira, not knowing that a similar thought had crossed her mind earlier. However, unlike her, he couldn't just push a thought away like that.
