Tom sat on a ledge, watching over the procession of people leaving ahead of the incoming battle. He remained silent as he oversaw the exodus, trying not to think morbid thoughts.

Heidi glanced up at Tom, wishing he'd get off of his damn ledge and come distract her from trying to throttle Benji. She'd missed her brother, but she forgotten how easy it had been to argue with her siblings.

Tom slipped off the ledge, dropping a good twenty feet to the ground, the earth rising slightly to meet him and break his fall. He strode over to Heidi, yawning. To an observant onlooker, he was beginning to lose some of his bulk. His six and a half foot frame was beginning to look noticeably more skinny than muscular.

"Looking forward to your trip?" he asked sardonically.

"We can't have more than like seventy people here, and losing one person there is like what, one and a half percent of our group? Especially considering that one person is someone that survived the better part of the Acer Tournament and one of the leaders of the village. I think Heidi's important," Tom reasoned calmly, leaning back against a wall.

Heidi sighed, ruffling his hair. "Tell Ari that I promise to visit once this whole ordeal is over with," she soothed, before glancing over at Tom. "Glad to know you think I'm such a boss," she laughed.

"You're damn right I am," Heidi grinned.

Benji shied away a bit, feeling a bit lost when Heidi mentioned the tower. From what he'd picked up while living in the village, a lot of them had been in some sort of tournament in a tower, but no one would really tell him anything about it.

Nathan frowned again. He walked over toward Heidi and Tom.

"Heidi, when are the rest of your villagers coming, I'm getting impatient." He muttered, his arms beginning to fold.

Some of the Acer villagers were already waiting, keeping their distance from the Illuminati.

Erika met up with Simon and Elena with the twins, Eric, Alice and a couple of other children following. Joey was with her.

Meanwhile...

Finally, her chance had finally come. Sara ran from behind house to house, heading towards the opposite end of town from where everyone was gathered. With everyone distracted, she could finally make her escape. She wasn't going anywhere with them, it was highly likely that it was a trap, and if not, she might not be able to escape from that place.
