Luke fell silent, struck by the thought that no matter how nice any of them had been, they might all be dead when the army fell upon them. He had dreamt about the impending battle the night before.

Kira frown deepened as she sat down next to Luke, wrapping an arm around him. "Everything will be fine," she soothed, even if she didn't really believe it herself.

Kira felt a little bad for lying to Luke, but it seemed to make him feel better. She smiled at Luke's childish behavior, suddenly feeling particularly glad that he was with her.

Nathan slowed down when he saw the village in sight and frowned to himself. It wasn't a good idea to stay here for too long, he had to keep on the move. The sooner he got things sorted with their defense systems the sooner he could work on putting a further block on the the power hungry emotions that surrounded him whenever he used Darkness.

He stopped next to Ryker who was humming to himself. Emma and a few of other members of the Illuminati who were too young to fight or Nathan had ordered not to fight where stood with him, waiting expectantly.

"You all set?" He queried, his mind reading powers allowing him to already gauge Ryker's answer of yes. The platinum blonde haired teen folded his arms.

"We're just waiting for the ones from the Acer Village," he commented dryly.

Benji was dragging Heidi along towards the group, looking much happier than he had. Heidi, on the other hand, looked about ready to kill anything that moved.
