"Nah, I reckon you should probably stay here, console Simon, and make sure Benji doesn't try kill him on the way over," Tom mused, realising that those two travelling together could be a potential hazard.

"They're leaving tomorrow via teleportation. Do you really think Nathan would let Erika walk all the way there?" Heidi explained.

"...Yeah, actually, I kinda did," Tom murmured, looking surprised. "I figured it might be too far. Why the fuck did we have to walk all that way when we went with him to the tower and the hydra and whatnot?"

"We didn't walk all the way, we had those animal things to ride, remember? Surely not as convenient as teleportation, but I'm not complaining," Heidi shrugged.

"You know what I mean though, seems a bit odd. But hey, it's for the best. The animals were pretty cool. I kinda miss the bear, if I'm honest. Wonder where it went, or if Nathan just banished back to the netherworld or whatever," Tom replied, musing. That was a pretty cool power, he had to admit.

"Well, Nathan's not the teleporter, it's, uh...Ryker, the Illuminati guy. When we left, I think Nathan was trying to avoid the Illuminati for some emo-ass reason," Heidi hmmed, trying to remember. "I did like the wolf, though."

"Yeah, you're right, it is Ryker. I was there for a few years," Tom grimaced at the thought, before remembering that yeah, he had been trying to avoid them. Tom couldn't quite remember why. "I seem to remember thinking it was stupid as hell though."

"Probably was, since afterwards he just rejoined them like nothing had happened," Heidi shrugged. Nathan was pretty stupid.

"Probably beyond the understanding of us mere mortals," Tom joked, chuckling slightly. He couldn't help but feel for the Illuminati though, after what had happened to them earlier that day. Some of the villagers might find it odd lving side-by-side with them.

"Maybe I'll hit Nathan the next time I see him. I haven't gotten a good punch on him in years," Heidi mused, rocking back on her heels.

"Do me a favour, and wait till we get back. I don't want to have to deal with him going all skeleton in the middle of town, Be a pain to clean up, wouldn't it?" Tom asked rhetorically, with a grin at Heidi's suggestion. Oh well, it was a step up from killing everyone.

"What, you mean my blood and guts strewn everywhere? Yeah, that would be a a pain to clean up," Heidi responded, sounding far too cheery for that statement.

"I was talking about the townsfolk, actually," Tom replied mildly, looking a bit surprised by Heidi's statement. That was mildly surprising.

"Well, I suppose that would be a mess, too," Heidi frowned. She could barely hold a candle to Tom, let alone Nathan. She wasn't really all that powerful.

"That said, I might need someone to come clean my guts off the floor in a few days time," Tom joked. He may have joked, but inside he was apprehensive. He didn't think he stacked up to people like Eithne, and he wasn't looking forward to going toe-to-toe with Nathan's dark side when it was trying it's hardest to kill him, and he had to restrain himself.

"Well, I do specialize in blood and occasionally guts," Heidi offered.

"No one can deny that, in fairness. I'll have that thought to comfort me, at least," Tom replied with a chuckle.

"In all seriousness, I'm sure you'll do fine," Heidi stated, patting Tom's shoulder. "'Cuz when we were dealing with your trigger, Nathan seemed to be having one hell of a time."

"Really? I...don't remember any of that," Tom mused, scratching his beard. Goddamnit, he'd gotten the beard shaved the day before.

"Well of course you don't, you were doing crazy mind-whack stuff or something," Heidi reminded him. She'd been a bit left out in this part of the process.

"Think we could have done with you, to be honest. Nathan got himself beat, and in the end it just came down to reflexes, which you have in spades in fairness to you," Tom admitted ruefully.

Heidi chuckled. "Of course. Speed's the only thing I got runnin' for me, after all," she snorted, though she was rather happy to know that they could have used her help.

"Eh, I still reckon if Percy's field goes up you'll be the one to watch out for in," Tom replied. Whether she was outmatched be Flows or not, Tom still reckoned Heidi would be the best suited to fighting without it.

"That would be fun sparring conditions, I think. At least for me," Heidi mused aloud. She certainly hadn't been too badly affected when Percival had thrown up his fields before during fights.

"Too bad you'd probably kill the guy before you even got that far," Tom laughed amicably, another one of the Shima memories cPMing in, just like they had been doing for a while recently.
