"Alright, I'll remember that. Sorry I can't really help you out with the whole shelter thing," Heidi said, quickly walking towards Amelia.

[Dobi Boshi]

"'bout ready to snap and go insane, but otherwise I'm just peachy," Eithne mumbled, kicking a bot of rubble at his foot, glaring after it like it was the source of all his troubles. Growling, he shook his head, trying not to scream in blind fury. This was not what he wanted at all.

[Stabberz]

Nathan nodded before creating a thin pipe of ice out of thin air and stabbing it into his wrist. With mental control he manoeuvred the ice so it stabbed directly into one of the veins on Luke's leg.

As his blood began to move through the pipe he cautiously placed a hand on Luke's left shoulder. "Try to keep your body temperature down as much as possible or the ice will melt to quickly."

With that he began to heal his old team mate.

"Well I'm here because I think I owe you an apology," Tom replied softly, it having been on his conscience that he had judged his friend wrongly ever since he had found out about the second trigger.

"I'll try," Luke gulped, having to try hard to control a temperature spike when he was stabbed.

[Dobi Boshi]

"Don't bother, brother," Eithne mumbled dropping down onto his ass and flopping onto the ground to stare up at the sky, still dressed in his tattered and shredded clothes and jacket. "I don't deserve it."

[Stabberz]

Nathan nodded and began pouring his power into Luke. At first there was nothing but as more blood and more flow began to enter his system he would begin to feel a change. Bright lights illuminated the pair of adults as Nathan set about undoing his mistake.

[Big Uri]

Luke grunted, the closing his eyes to protect them from the light and trying to control his temperature when he started to feel the change. It occurred to him that his old self probably would have taken this opportunity to roast Nathan from a range where he couldn't possibly miss, but his new, less hate-filled mind prioritised health over revenge.

"That's for me to decide, Eithne, and I decide that y'do," Tom replied firmly, dropping down to ground level, leaning against a rock beside Eithne's prone from.

[Dobi Boshi]

"The world's a really fucked up place," Eithne mused, staring at the clouds. "Sometimes I just wonder if wanting to build that little wagon with Heidi and Simon was such a great crime against whatever higher power is up there. I can deal with getting made a puppet, but when that shit ripples out and hurts my precious people... I ain't gonna take that.

[Stabberz]

Nathan poured more power into it. It wouldn't take too much more now.

"I know. Believe me, I know," Tom chuckled darkly, wondering how Heidi would react to the news about Eithne.

Luke waited patiently for Nathan to finish, feeling the power flow through him.

Nathan fired one last influx of power and then removed his hand from the Irish adult. After waiting a few more seconds he shattered the ice pipe and watched as the wound on Luke's leg healed itself up.

Staggering slightly back he crossed his arms impassively and surveyed the man he'd just healed. "How are you feeling?"

[Dobi Boshi]

"Y'know, when this is all over I want all I want is to go fishing and raise Lucas with Amelia. I might not be the kids father, but, despite that, I still wanna be the little tykes dad." Eithne sighed, imaging what the kid would look like in a few years time, he looked a lot like his mother and would probably only get more like her as he grew up.

"Only problem is I don't what's really anymore when it comes to my feels. This thing with Amelia... I'm scared Irish, what if it's all just a result of the trigger?"

[Big Uri]

"Well you feel you want to raise a kid with her, right? Sounds like a pretty strong indication of feelings if you ask me," Tom replied, looking down at his friend with unseeing eyes.

"Unless you're wondering if you're only in love with her now because of some part of the trigger left in you, in which case I ask, does it matter? If she likes you back, and you like her, does it matter why? Sounds like a recipe for happiness to me, no need to complicate it. Trust me, Scotty, you should take things like this life throws at you as they come. Some people don't get nothing."

Luke was standing tall, taller than he'd looked as a burnt-out husk, flexing his newly healed arm. He couldn't describe the change from how he had been before to how he was now. He smiled, his first fully formed smile in years.

"Great."

[Stabberz]

Nathan let out one of his own rare smiles at the now fully healed man. He'd give him his flow back and now he'd helped him get back his physical capabilities. Even if it was the least he could do, Nathan was finally beginning to feel like he was atoning for what he'd done.

"Glad I could be of service." he responded.

So much progress... eh? King? Just you wait, when I get out I'll finish what I started this time.

[Dobi Boshi]

Eithne chuckled, nodding slightly at Tom's words. "You've got a point, Irish..." he trailed off, smiling as he remember some of the times he and Amelia had together, even before he tried to leave Shima. He almost laughed when he recalled their first meeting.

"Good to have this back after so long, don't you reckon?"

[Big Uri]

"You've changed," Luke finally said, breaking a small silence. It was obvious, but it was the first time Luke had admitted to his old hated enemy that he was atoning. "Even an idiot like me can see that."

"What, your free will?" Tom questioned with a chuckle. "Yeah, it's a pleasant change."

[Stabberz]

"Kind of had to." Nathan commented with a nod of thanks. It wouldn't have meant anywhere near as much coming from anyone else. Luke had been the worst victim of Nathan's descent into the darkness. Even if now he was facing that same fight with darkness again.

"Let's just hope we survive this battle and I can carry on fixing all the shit I've done."

[Dobi Boshi]

"That too," Eithne laughed properly this time, smiling slightly. "But I was referring more to this; just talking to you like the old days after a spar. It's nice to have some sort of normalcy from the old days back - it's kinda comforting, shows the trigger didn't completely destroy everything for me."

[Big Uri]

"I suppose I should get training if I don't want to drag everyone down with me. Not that I'll be as strong as you or Eithne, but I could be stronger than my current weak state, anyhow," Luke replied, mind snapping back to the battle.

"There's life after the trigger, Eithne, one comforting fact I can tell you is that it's never felt so good being free than after coming out of the trigger's influence," Tom replied with one of his faint grins.

[Stabberz]

"Eh, all you really need to do is work out just what you can do now you have adult strength." Nathan mused as he surveyed his ally with IA. "From what I can deduce, whilst you're not in the same bracket as me, Tom and Eithne you are certainly the closest person to us compared to most of the others."

[Big Uri]

"So what, I'm a powerful medium? ...Eh, I can live with that. Agility was an important part of how I fought though, so I'll need to get used to having four functioning limbs," Luke replied, his still-fragile self-confidence slightly boosted by Nathan's assessment.

[Dobi Boshi]

"I ain't doubting that." Eithne hummed, before rolling onto his side and clambering back to his feet. "I need to find Amelia and apologize. I was an ass to her earlier - I was just so angry and hurt, guess we need to talk a few things through. Take care of yourself in the meantime, Irish - don't want you dieing on me before the finale, eh?"

[Big Uri]

"I'm not dying just yet. Not for a while, anyway," Tom replied, an odd certainty in his voice like he knew when he was going to die. "But the same to you."

[Stabberz]

"Just make sure you go and see Kira first." Nathan suggested. It shocked him how much he wasn't troubled by the romantic relationship between the two. "She'll be glad to see you healthy again."

[Dobi Boshi]

"You know me, if I gotta die, I'm making sure it'll be the epic twist in the finale," Eithne said, walking off and waving over his shoulder at Tom out of habit. But as he headed back to what was left of the Illuminati village, he took to whistling to himself, slightly confident about the coming conversation with Amelia.
