Kira nodded. "I-I can d-do that..." she mumbled, glancing at Luke and Nathan. She figured their say would be final, especially Luke's.

"Hey, it's totally up to you," Luke replied kindly, shrugging his shoulders, figuring he'd try help along Kira's self-confidence. "Naturally I want you to be safe, but I trust you to make your own decisions."

Kira nodded, smiling weakly at Luke. "I-I'll help with d-defense," she clarified, glad to actually be useful this time around.

Nathan nodded before remembering something. "Anyone remember Ryker from the tournament?" he asked rhetorically. "He can teleport so I can lend him to the pregnant and the kids. He can't go massive distances but he'll be able to skirt around Lillian's army as well as get them all to safety should things go too badly."

Kira looked a bit alarmed at the mention of the teleporter, shifting uneasily and moving further back into the forest.

Heidi raised an eyebrow. "No shit, Sherlock. Didn't I say something about the teleporter?"

"I'll talk to him about it." Nathan said with a shrug.

"Figure it out by tomorrow morning, 'cuz that's when they're getting sent off," Heidi muttered, rolling her eyes. Geez, nothing ever came easy when Nathan was involved.

"Am I needed here anymore?" Paul asked, glancing around, "Cause I have things to prepare." Guns to clean, ammo to check, jobs to assign; a lot more work than simply sharpening a sword and practicing your Flow a bit.

"I don't think so. I'm going to go talk to Amelia about getting checked over in case I'm still sick. I'll see you later, Paul," Heidi announced, waving goodbye before walking back to the village where most of the Illuminati were gathered.

"Alright, stay safe," Paul waved after her, shouldering his rifle, "Now I'm gonna go check to see if the Flow Barrier Generator is working in the walker." With that he stalked off, calling over his shoulder, "If I'm needed...don't need me."

Nathan nodded as they all began to leave before turning his attention to Luke slowly. "Preparations are beginning now, so let's go and get you healed." He suggested calmly. His gaze fell across the rest of the group. Most notably Andrea before he turned back to Luke.

"Let's go then," Luke replied, pushing himself upright with his stick rather painfully, giving Kira a wave goodbye before following Nathan.

Kira waved back, before quickly retreating into the forest.

"I don't really have a village to go to do this so I'm just going to take us around the side of the forest." Nathan explained as they walked.

"Alright, sounds good to me," Luke replied, excited but wary not to get his hopes up.

It didn't take the two long before they'd reached a small rock that signified the side of the forest.

"Alright... where did the rebound affect hit you most?"

Heidi sighed impatiently as she walked around, looking for Amelia.

The Illuminati as a whole were still relatively unsure of where they were supposed to go or what they were supposed to do. Many were still recovering from seeing both Nathan and Eithne wounded badly and seeing Victoria almost die.

"The burnt half of my body. Probably my left arm, I can't feel anything there any more," Luke replied ruefully, rubbing his charred arm.

"Hmm in that case I'll concentrate my blood going into your lower body, like the legs and stuff whilst I heal the upper half." Nathan explained before remembering something. "Due to me giving you that scar on your chest with Darkness I'll be unable to heal it because of some stupid rules with my flow. But other than you should be all but completely healed."

"The scar?" Luke grimaced, unconsciously wincing. "Fair enough, not the worst thing to have to leave behind I guess."

Heidi frowned, clearing her throat rather loudly. "Oi, Illuminati folk!" she called out, hoping to get their attention before continuing. "Tomorrow morning, there will be a group leaving the area. Anyone unable or unwilling to fight is recommended to go with them. As for bunking, there are a few empty houses towards the edge, though it won't be enough for all of you. Your best bet is going door to door to see who has space in their house, and when there are no more beds, we'll have Jojo make some more houses. Sound good?"

[Dobi Boshi]

"You're going with 'em," Eithne muttered from behind Amelia, appearing with his arms folded as he listened to Heidi's announcement.

"Excuse me," Amelia turned to look up at him, shocked that he could order her around like some dog. "You need me here! I'm the only properly trained doctor for miles, what if you're injured? Or worse?"

"Then that's my problem; not yours." The conversation was over as Eithne turned and stalked away without another word.

"You could ask Sage to deal with the scar if you wanted." Nathan noted as he gestured for Luke to take a seat on the rock.

Carly stepped forward to face Heidi. "Thank you, we'll go about that. The only people we have who can't fight are Amelia, Lucas and Victoria."

"Nah, it'll be fine. I suppose there are less badass mementos," Luke replied with a quiet laugh, taking a seat.

"Recovering, Scotty?" Tom's quiet voice echoed, suddenly on a rock near Eithne, despite not having been there half-a-minute earlier.
