Paul sighed. "Listen Heidi, you need to calm down," he told her, "try to think a little. It's not your fault, it's not Joey's fault, it's the person who kidnapped Erika who is to blame."

Elena whimpered when Eric yelled at her, starting to cry. First he'd taken Erika away from her, and now he didn't want her to see her? She hissed at Eric, holding tighter onto the candlestick.

"If I'd kept a better eye on her..." Heidi protested weakly. She was scum. She couldn't protect Erika or Ade, Simon didn't even want to be around her anymore... She felt rather alone.

Kira smiled happily, glad that Luke seemed to not have such a low self esteem any more. Gathering up the dirty dishes, she nodded in agreement, laughing quietly. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Like I've said, we make a good team," Luke replied. Both of their abilities helped with survival, Kira's slightly more so because it protected him from rain and gave them food and drink.

"Elena, calm down," Simon held onto the girl's wrist. "You need to put the candlestick down..."

The black haired boy turned back to Eric with a frown. "Why does erika need fluids?"

"Because people in an induced sleep can't get up to eat, drink, or bathe like other people." Eric replied, finishing putting up the monitors. "Erika right now is in a catatonic state."

Elena trembled, holding onto the candle stick rather tightly, instead of listening to Simon. "Well, make her wake up!" she ordered, not really understanding. All she knew was that this boy had taken Erika away from her.

Kira blushed slightly as she nodded in agreement. Even back in the tournament, she'd never thought of herself as a contributing member of the team, since Nathan and Luke were the strong ones.

She pushed herself to her feet, holding the dishes. "I'm going to clean up, I'll be back soon," she told Luke, before wandering off towards the river.

"Heidi..." Paul sighed again, "Stop being useless then! If you're fucking tired of being useless then stop! You whine and moan about how you're useless but don't do anything about it! Do. Something. About it. Stop moping. Do your job. Act mature. Leave Joey alone. Help your friends. For fuck sake you act like a teenager when you're an adult. I've helped you all I can, now it's your turn to do something about it. You're the strongest person I know, I don't see why you can't take charge for once. Erika is hurt, Ade is incapacitated, and the person you hate is taking over YOUR village. Do something about it. The least you can do is stick at Erika's side. Joey brought her back. Be thankful he did something right for once. Bee the fucking leader you're supposed to be." Paul stood up and took a deep breathe. He shouldn't have vented on Heidi, but she needed to see things for how they were.

Heidi hissed at Paul, before walking back towards the village. Sure, she wanted to be a good leader, and hold up the fort for Erika and Ade, but the villagers didn't like her. How was she supposed to lead them if they didn't listen to a word she said?
