Kira frowned slightly, standing up and walk around the table to Melaney. "I-I'm sorry... Are y-you okay? Should I-I get you something?" she asked, swallowing her fear and reaching to pat the shaking woman's shoulder.

Melaney flinched slightly at Kira's touch but shook her head. "U-u-un, c-can I s-s-spend the n-night in the f-forest?" she asked, not looking up.

"Yeah, that's fine...Do y-you want me to make you a b-bed in the treehouse?" Kira asked.

Kira picked up the dirty dishes, smiling at Luke and Melaney. "I'm going to wash these in the river. Play nice," she laughed, before walking away.

Melaney sat back in her seat and pulled her knees up to her chest, using her shadow as a prop up to keep herself from losing balance.

Kira was humming when she came back with the clean dishes, the table turning into dust. "Melaney, I'll get y-you a blanket, okay? You should find wh-where you want to sleep before it gets dark, and I'll help you make it cozy," she said as a vine took her up into the treehouse.

"Th-thanks," Melaney smiled, watching Kira head up into the treehouse. When Kira was up in her home Melaney took off into the forest, going to the thickets foliage she could and crawling underneath it.

Kira blinked as she felt Melaney dart off, putting away the dishes and picking up her blanket nonetheless. She smiled at Luke. "Thank you for letting Melaney come over. I think she's lonely without Sage..."

"I should go find her now...no idea why she ran off like that," Kira laughed, a ladder forming up to the treehouse, in case Luke didn't want to tag along, before she turned and started walking towards Melaney, easily navigating the forest.

Luke didn't really feel up to walking around the forest, his leg already sore enough from his trips to the village and walks through the forest.

Melaney was curled up underneath a bramble bush, shivering to herself as she felt a few tears fall. The voices of her sister personalities were yelling at her again for being weak in front of other people...

"Alright, alright. Let's break it up here." Al anounced at the kids as he walked towards the chimera. "Just a few more miles, ready?"

Josh nodded, a determined look on his face.

"I don't understand why you have to do this." The girl with white hair mumbled to Eric, her arms crossed.

"Before I give the Warden the results I want to know what he's planning, and why that girl." The teen replied as he broke the code on the final lock, the door opened with a slight hiss.

The two walked inside, where a file cabinet stood.

"Look for anything suspicious or has the girl's face on it." Eric replied.

Kira walked up to Melaney's bush thing, crouching down and holding the blanket out to her. "Melaney...are you sure you don't want to sleep in the treehouse? It's warmer in there..."

"N-no," Melaney said weakly, holding back a sob, her shadow reaching out and pulling the blanket to the woman who was hiding her face in her knees.
