Melaney stepped out into the light, squinting at how it shined off the lake. "Too bright-sssssss," a shadow serpent hissed.

"It's fine..." Melaney mumbled, petting the snake to calm it before dissolving her shadow to regular and looking around.

"Oh, unlucky then I guess," Luke replied easygoingly. He was in an even better mood than usual due to his sleep. He offered Melaney a friendly hand up. "Well then I s'pose an apology's in order, as well as a thanks for back in the tournament when I was unconscious."
