"I-I'll be f-fine..." Kira mumbled, moving towards Luke. That was a bit of a lie, since she was already starting to feel a tightness forming in her chest, but she didn't want to have made them walk out here for nothing.

"Don't want to become like Luke," Tom replied with the faintest hint of a rueful smile. "It was blackmail. Not your fault. I forgive you."

Luke smiled, his worries gone about making Kira afraid. He led her into the cellar. True to his word it was very big, but Luke had only taken a small room off to the side. It was visible through the open door, rather cluttered with a bed in the corner that was more of a cot. There were a few posters on the wall, a few weapons and other supplies, and there were three photos on the mantlepiece of a fireplace.

"'Course he does," Tom replied with a grin. He had history behind his origins, that was for sure.

The first was of Luke with a family of seven, him being the middle child of the five. He was a bit more blonde than he was now, and both the youngest and oldest were male, while the other two were his sisters. The two oldest were both over eighteen. The next was of just Luke and the two youngest, all looking a bit worse for wear, after the Storm. The last was of Luke, Kira, and Nathan, taken on the third day of the Acer tournament. There were none of Luke as he currently looked, charred and scarred.

"Everywhere else is a bit wank, t'be honest, plus your-sorry, our exalted leader needs me to help him sometimes. I got ranked third," Tom explained, with a slight chuckle.

"I-i don't..." Melaney mumbled, "H-he's that way." A whisp of shadow snaked from behind Melaney, who was hidden behind Sage, pointing in the direction Paul was.

"Let's go!" she said cheerfully, turning around. "Joey, once we're done, do you think I could help out with these people?"

"It's not an official rank until emo-boy gives it." Eithne responded with a shrug. "And yeah I know what you mean, my first time it was difficult. But in the long run it helps with refinement and control as well as helping build up natural power."
