Nathan let the skeleton fade and frowned at the torn up ground.

"Not much further now." He said calmly. There was a green hue around everything that seemed to be concentrated just above the ocean about thirty feet away.

Heidi frowned. Her spear had been inside that hydra. She was officially weaponless. "Well, damn," she said aloud.

"Haha, that's nice to hear," Luke replied easygoingly.

Tom nodded.

"Let's go," he replied, still wondering if he had anything like Nate's skeleton.

Kira nodded, swallowing her blush. She moved back towards the garden, before continuing to pull weeds. Unfortunately, she was rather nervous and embarrassed still, and more weeds grew to replace the ones she'd pulled.

Heidi scowled, pulling out one of the knives she'd taken from the tower and slicing her arm, using a bit of her own blood to make another spear, before clotting the wound. It'd be bad if she got woozy.

"Hey, don't worry," Luke said, going over to her. "I'd hate to see that good mood go away."

Kira nodded, before backing away from the garden so she didn't cause it to be any more overgrown. "I...um...I think I'm going to go hit my h-head against a tree," she announced.

"What? No," Luke replied quickly. What had he done? "That'd be an awful shame."

Kira nodded, biting her lip. "S-Sorry," she apologized again.

"What?" Luke asked again, quite bewildered. "Hey, I just don't want to see that smile go away!"

Kira attempted a smile, looking over at Luke.

"Much better," Luke replied encouragingly. "Though not a patch on your earlier ones."

Kira smiled a bit wider, standing up and smoothing out the skirt of her dress.

Luke himself smiled as she did, determined not to let his good mood go away.

Seeing Luke smile, Kira smiled fully. If it made Luke happier, then she could smile.

"Do you need more blood for your weapon?" Melaney asked Hedi curiously, "Surely you don't have enough for a good spear and still be battle fit."

"It's enough for a dagger. Not as preferable as my old spear, but it'll do... Plus, my body tends to regenerate blood a bit more quickly than other humans," Heidi shrugged.

"I can lend my own blood if you wish," Melaney said blankly.

Heidi paled a bit, though tried not to let it show. "No thanks, I'm good," she replied stiffly.

"You are not comfortable with me letting blood," Melaney glanced at her, "Why?"

"Because I'm a horrible person," Heidi answered, not really wanting to explain to anyone about Mary, let alone Melaney.

Melaney's eyes flashed. "If you were a horrible person you'd be like me," she said coldly, a serpent rising up to her wrist. "Choose, the safety of your mind or the safety of your group." The serpents tore a large gash across Melaney's wrist.

Heidi gagged at the sight, clotting Melaney's wound. "Don't do that," she muttered, dropping her spear.

Melaney stared at her, eyes cold and unrelenting. "..."

Heidi picked up her spear, glaring at Melaney. "I don't have to explain anything to you. I'm not using your or anyone's blood but my own."
