"I'm not a liar," Luke repeated frustratedly, his temperature flaring.

"Nathan wouldn't do that!" Victoria stated, the darkness around her curled up defencivly around her.

"Nathan has done it! He and Kira went out for like five days, and then he tried to kill her! I went to him when he was leaving the tournament, and almost killed me! Left me in a coma for a week, and now I can't even use my Flow well! I can't sleep any more!" Luke got louder, pausing to take a breath. His temperature was beginning to give that burning pain again. "You saw that pillar of fire stretching up to the sky earlier? That was me, and it was Nathan's fault!"

Around there is when Victoria had gotten up and started to run. They were lying! There was no way Nathan would do that!

"Ask Eithne and Amelia about me! If you really know Nathan, you've got nothing to fear!" Luke called after her. He was beginning to burn up, though he didn't have enough energy to produce more flames.

Victoria didn't hear him, she was too wrapped up in her thoughts and trying not to go back to kill them.

Why were they lying about Nathan!?

Luke opened his mouth to talk, but only coughed again, the pain turning into agony. He stumbled forward, trying to warn Kira but unable to talk. Eventually he was able to stop coughing long enough to warn her. He curled up into a ball on the floor, wracked by shakes for a good few minutes, until eventually he was able to stop.

When he rose, he was pale and sweating. The sight of the darkness Flow had awakened bad memories, and in his mind he was back in that darkness coffin as it closed in on him, lacerating his flesh. He was able to stand, but his body was shaking and his eyes were haunted.

Victoria kept running until she reached her home... Wa it really her home... Was that what Kira was saying?

She didn't know anymore, part of her brain was telling her to believe the two... A quarter, to kill them. The last bit, that Nathan wouldn't attack anyone, not without good reason.

She was confused...

Simon took her back to the house, grabbing some juice and bread for breakfast on the way.

Kira nervously stepped closer to Luke, shaking a bit herself. "Y-You're okay...?" she asked quietly, worry making her look much older than she was. She didn't know if his Fliw was going to explode again, or...

Elena stayed quiet for once, somberly eating the bread once they got back to the house. "S-Sorry I made you stay out all night..." she apologized quietly after a bit.

"GO!" Nathan yelled as he strained and blasted the beast with a barrage of pure darkness.

One of his skeleton's eight arms turned into tendrils that wrapped themselves around the beasts necks and lifted it into the air slightly. Forcing the metallic like skin to begin to squeeze on itself.

Tom gestured, a tunnel opening up in front of the two girls.

"Go on, only a matter of time 'fore the thing collapses it," he grunted.

"I-I'm a bit better," Luke replied, before chuckling harshly. "Too weak to explode now."

Melaney hopped in immediately, her shadow forming a rough armor around herself.

"It's fine. That's what friends do, right?" Simon replied gently.

"Down the rabbit hole," Heidi muttered to herself as she jumped down, following after Melaney, her spear transforming back to its usual shape.

Kira frowned, before pulling Luke into a hug. He looked scared, and when he got scared, she got scared.

Elena nodded slightly, taking another bite of her bread. "I'm sorry I'm being so stupid...I just...Erika...sorry," she responded, hanging her head slightly. She felt bad for involving Simon in this, when he was probably sad about Heidi not even being around. At least Erika was still around, even if she didn't pay any attention to her.

"Elena... I still think that you aren't giving Erika or her husband a chance." Simon replied.

"I don't like him. We shared Erika just fine before, why does he have to take her away now? I..." Elena started blinking back tears again. "I don't wanna be abandoned!"

"Elena..." Simon put an arm around the girl. "It may seem that way, but Erika doesn't want to abandon you, far from it."

Elena hugged Simon tightly, trying to take comfort in her friend's presence. "Doesn't feel that way," she mumbled in reply.

Simon's face turned a little red, but he continued. "I-i think Erika wants you all to be a family and love each other... th-that's what families are supposed to be like I've heard."

"I dunno. Dad wasn't ever home and Mom just ditched me on Robert or Lacy's mom," Elena frowned. "But it's not a family if she doesn't spend any time with me, right?"

"I think she wants to, but you have to understand that when people are married they like to spend time alone together." Simon replied. He remembered Heidi talking about one time how they were in the honeymoon phase... and after a while how the blodne was angry that they seemed to still be in that 'phase'.

"So much that she ignores me?" Elena asked. "Then marriage is stupid."

"Just give her another chance. I don't think she means to ignore you." Simon replied.
