The Hydra was under the ground for two seconds and then the earth around it exploded in a torrent of lava.

Flames, lightning and water assaulted Luke from all sides whilst the Hydra sacrificed half of its heads to send a massive wave of ink at them all.

With a hand on Heidi Nathan blurred with Super Speed and grabbed Melaney. In under a second they were next to Tom and Nathan focused both his hands over his chest and made a ripping motion.

Darkness exploded around the group and when it was no longer dark they were in Nathan's darkness skeleton. It let out a skeletal roar as it rose higher than the Hydra and forced the wave of ink back.

"Tom, send Heidi and Melaney underground and on my cue force them up underneath the beast." He said before turning to the other two. "There's a weak spot directly in the middle of its belly, Heidi concentrate the Iron in your spear and stab it. Then turn the spear into blood and stick it inside the beast. Mealeny that is where you'll send your serpents inside it and help move Heidi's blood towards it's ink heart."

He paused and forced the skeleton to shoot an arrow through one of the Hydra's heads.

"Heidi that is when you'll have to wrap the blood around it and clog it up. Tom that'll be cue for you to return them back here and I'll destroy it."

"N-Not N-N-Nathan... M-Maybe the o-old Nathan...b-but not a-anymore..." Kira shook her head, wondering where this girl had gotten the idea that Nathan actually liked them.

Tom was faced with almost single-handedly fending off all of the hydra's attacks by himself, his vision in no way impaired by the darkness. He nodded at Nathan's statement, a little red in the face as he bombarded the beast with rock and razor-sharp diamonds.

Luke snorted disbelievingly.

"Don't try feed me that," Luke replied bitterly. "You're just like the rest of them. Well, changed or not, Nathan never gave a shit about me, and he never will."

"B-Before he..." Kira trailed off, biting her lip. "H-He did c-c-care about b-both of us...f-for a b-bit..." she protested quietly.

"Maybe about you..." Luke trailed off himself.

Victoria frowned an placed her hand onto her hips, darkness all around her rippled. "I am not a liar!"

"Th-Then why did he g-get so upset wh-when you tried to l-leave? Why d-did he try to give th-the orb to you f-first?" Kira asked with a frown. She knew Nathan had cared about both of them, why didn't Luke believe it?

Seeing the darkness, Kira squeaked, grabbing Luke's arm and shuddering. "St-Stop it!" she cried at Victoria, panic rising in her voice.

Joe watched the two with a blank look. Since the events of the Acer, and the past five years in the village, he stopped caring about what most people thought about him. It was just a waste of time to try and gain the approval of people who never even bothered to get to know him. He only cared about what his friends, and loved ones, thought of him, cause in the end, it was only their opinion that mattered.

"Drop the shadows," Luke called in a low voice, his normal voice tainted with something more dangerous.

OOC: So the kid that's almost a daughter to his wife doesn't count as a loved one?

Elena whimpered quietly, having stopped crying, before pulling away from Erika. "I'm cold," she mumbled, looking over at Simon. "Let's go home, now, I guess..."

OOC: She is, but he doesn't count her opinion, due to her constant memory loss.

Victoria fell backwards, curling up. "Not a liar..." she mumbled, the darkness vanishing momentary.

Kira clenched Luke's arm tighter, before letting go and hesitantly approaching Victoria. "A-Are y-y-you o-ok-k-kay...?" she stuttered nervously.

"Not a liar..." Victoria mumbled again.

"Y-You're not a-a l-liar," Kira repeated, patting Victoria on the head. "J-Just...N-Nathan's t-tr-tried t-to kill u-us, a-and it's...i-it's h-hard to b-believe th-that he c-could find s-s-someth-th-thing good a-about us..."

"Not a liar..." Victoria repeated again, apparently that was the only thing she could say at the moment.

Kira looked back at Luke a little helplessly. Was she really that scary, that everyone freaked out upon seeing her? Her self-confidence was starting to get even lower than usual.

"I'm...sorry..." Victoria then mumbled.

"I-It's ok-k-kay..." Kira soothed, patting Victoria's head.

Victoria then sighed. "...I can't...really control my ability thing."

"I-It's okay..." Kira repeated, gesturing to the plants curling around her feet and legs. "I...I c-can't r-really ei-either..."

"You're an adult though," Victoria stated as she stared at the plants. "But...I suppose there are some abilities out of control..."

"I-I couldn't r-really c-control it b-before," Kira laughed nervously. "P-Pr-Practice m-makes perfect..."

Victoria looked at Kira in surprise. "R-really...?"

Kira nodded, looking down at the ground. "I...w-was really w-weak during th-the t-tourna-a-ament, a-and I let L-Luke and N-Nathan d-down a l-lot..." she admitted.
