Joey yawned as he sat up in his bed, wondering why he always got up so early.

Melaney was still perched in her tree, eyes gleaming yellow in the morning light, conversing quietly with her shadow. She hadn't slept at all, being one more suited for the night than day.

Paul, on the other hand, had slept on the roof of his house, Kaylee curled up on top of him. Both were still sound asleep, even into the day, despite Kaylee not needing sleep. She liked to pretend.

Tom ran a hand through his hair, which had been trimmed during the three weeks, so it was out of his face and only on his neck. He had refused to shave.

"No," the large man replied.

Luke pulled himself to his feet, using his staff and arms rather than dodgy legs.

"Uh, not particularly. I ate a lot last night, haha," he laughed. "Mught have something small, I guess. Anything in mind?"

Kira stood up as well, brushing the few stray twigs and the such off her dress. "I-I don't want to force you t-to eat anything..." she laughed nervously. "I'm j-just worried you won't tell me when y-you're hungry, or you'll do everything by yourself."

"Tch, I prefer visionary," Tom replied back, a dead serious tone in his voice. He kept a straight face with hidden difficulty.

Luke smiled.

"Hey, don't worry about it. I was just wondering if you had something good you were planning on eating, and that's why you were asking. And no worries, I'll tell you if I'm hungry."

Heidi scowled, punching Tom's arm. "How does you being a sarcastic jerk relate to you being a visionary?" she asked, stomping her foot a couple times to try and translate her frustration to Tom. He confused her with all his big words.

"O-Okay..." Kira nodded, wringing her hands anxiously. Despite being grown up, she still often acted childish in her own way.

"Well I'm disagreeing with the jerk bit, and saying that, if I'm anything, I'm a visionary. The joke being that I'm blind," Tom replied exasperatedly.

Heidi remained silent for a moment. "You should know by now that my sense of humor is lacking, especially when it comes to your humor," she responded after a few moments of trying to work that out in her head.

"I was...twelve? So, what's that, uh... six, five more years? I dunno," Heidi responded. She didn't remember much from before the Storm, it was mostly a foggy memory, besides what she didn't want to remember.

Kira nodded slightly, pulling at the skirt of her dress. "I...um...I-I'll go," she stammered awkwardly, before turning on her heels and darting off into the forest. She didn't like feeling awkward around Luke, and as embarrassing as it was, she panicked.

Simon had unsuccessfully tried to carry Elena back, so had slept in the orchard with her. He woke up to Erika standing over them.

"E-erika?" The boy said, before noticing the position they were technically in. "...T-this isn't-!"

"Um, it's hard to say..." Simon said, he then noticed the brunette's face turn slightly green. "Erika...?"

Erika stagered a couple of feet away and puked in some bushes.
