Kira kept her gaze downward, not wanting to intrude into the village. It couldn't help on Luke's part to be a little less blunt.

"Right, hold on," Paul nodded, twisting to face the village. "Hey boss people, you got a visitor!" he shouted, magnifying it ten fold.

Kira flinched at the shout, not only alarmed by the loud noise, but also hoping that it didn't shock Sara into stabbing her.

"That'll help," Tom muttered back jokingly, but nodded all the same. The monotone was never a good sign, and besides, he had learned from Nathan that people in the grips of their darkness Flow were dangerous.

Luke walked in ahead of Kira, remembering how much he hated walking in village. Too many people staring at him, made him feel like a freak.

Kira glared at a few of the villagers who gave Luke odd looks, before smiling comfortingly back at her old teammate. What did they know anyway? The welcomed Nathan with open arms, and yet looked at Luke like he was a monster. The villagers were stupid. "They don't know a good person when they see one," she told Luke quietly.

Heidi scowled at the pistols, rubbing her shoulder. She didn't particularly like guns. "A bit of defense is better than none," she responded.

"I know, I know, I'll stay careful," Tom replied. The girl had taken a long time to answer his question about why she was following them, and that could well have just been the time she needed to think up a lie. Desperate people did crazy things in the post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Heidi nodded, glancing back towards the ocean. Why'd the damn girl have to show up right when she was actually starting to have fun?

Kira frowned, looking back at the villagers and staying close to Luke. She didn't like being here at all. The forest was a quieter place, less crowded, less structured. The village made her skin crawl. "Wh-Where are we g-g-going...?" she asked no one in particular, wanting to get this over and get out of here quickly.

"I know...I-I'll be more c-careful," Kira mumbled, her eyes flitting nervously around the village. Why were things so inefficient here? Why couldn't the villagers just take Sara, give them some food, and send them on their way?
