"Don't think so, unless you want more help, Kira?" Luke asked, turning to his team-mate. He felt something odd in his own Flow and he frowned slightly, passing it off as nothing.

"Ah, n-not really... S-Sorry f-f-for m-making y-you come a-all the way o-out here..." Kira mumbled, wringing her hands anxiously. She noticed the frown on Luke's face, before glancing back at Sage. Was Luke lying about not remembering her? What if she had invited a bad person into her forest? People could change a lot in five years.

She glanced around the forest nervously. What if Sage wasn't even really Sage? Sure, they had the same hair color, but she didn't recognize her after so many years. What if this was an impostor, or something?

Luke felt whatever it was in his Flow again, and seemed to recognise it this time, and he frowned deeper this time.

God damnit, I knew it was long due...

Kira's panic seemed to get worse as Luke's frown got deeper. "A-Are y-you o-o-okay...?" she asked meekly, clutching her jacket tightly.

"There's a... thing, wrong with my Flow, ever since my... fight. It happens sporadically, sometimes once a year, sometimes once every couple of hours. My Flow starts to try and adjust to adult-level power, and ends up combusting again, like it did when I tried to use it against Nathan. Except this time, with about five years worth of power growth... It's, uh, a lot more powerful," Luke explained nervously, trying to monitor it. His Flow wasn't picking up just yet, but he probably needed to find isolation soon.

Kira seemed to shrink back at the mention of Luke's explosion, before turning to Sage. "I-I-I'm s-s-sorry, b-but can y-you please sh-show yourself out...?" she asked, before looking back at Luke. "W-We sh-should get y-y-you away from th-the village a-a-and h-here..." she mumbled.

"No, sorry, you should stay here. I don't want to risk burning you, Kira," Luke replied solemnly, taking off the amulet Kira had made him so he wouldn't destroy it, then putting down his throwing knives and his sword. He then took off his shirt, unbuttoning it and leaving it down beside the rest of his stuff, revealing a pretty muscular yet pretty charred torso, the burnt flesh especially bad around his chest. There was also a rather nasty scar from when Nathan had stabbed him through his chest with his own sword.

"Good meeting you Sage, and I'll be back in a bit, Kira," Luke said politely, quickly judging which way was the quickest out of the forest and away from civilization.

"A-Ah, b-be careful!" Kira called after Luke, paling at the sight of all the burnt flesh. As Luke moved through the forest, the plants and trees seemed to clear the way for him. Once he was out of sight, she sat down on the ground, closing her eyes as she focused on following him with plants.

"I will!" Luke called back, moving as fast as he could with a stick. He felt another twinge in his Flow, and he sped up, dropping his stick as he began to sprint, racing against time to cover as much ground as he could.

Feeling Luke speed up, Kira pulled at her jacket, figuring it was getting worse. "Please be okay, please be okay, please be okay..." she mumbled fearfully to herself, not wanting to have to try and stitch Luke back together again.

Luke kept running, flames beginning to drip off his form, beginning to speed him up just like they had when he had been in control of them. Time seemed to slow down for the man, leaving a trail of flames behind as he blitzed across the wasteland. After about a quarter of an hour flat out running, his Flow finally gave out again.

It was visible from even the opposite side of the village, a column of flames reaching up to the sky. It was maybe a hundred metres in diameter, more than ten times that high, an eruption of raw Flow that was sure to jar the senses of anyone reasonably proficient in sensing Flow. It raged for a full five minutes, eventually subsiding into dust and smoke, leaving a charred and barren landscape where it had raged. At its heart, Luke lay on the ground, curled up into a ball and gasping for breath, his body wracked by an increased burning pain.

"Sweet baby jeebus," Paul muttered at the column of fire shooting into the air as he anti-gravity'd himself over the town wall.

Kira flinched, small burns covering her arms. She held her breath until the fire stopped, keeping her eyes squeezed shut. Once it seemed to be over, vines curled protectively around Luke as Kira tried to focus on protecting him while he seemed vulnerable.

Luke was oblivious to the vines, wrapped up in agony as his Flow began to calm down.

After a few more moments, Kira got unsteadily to her feet, as her mind was mostly elsewhere, with Luke. She began to walk after him rather awkwardly at first, though the closer she got, the easier it was.

Luke had dragged himself to his hands and knees, the bottoms of his trousers destroyed, leaving him in shorts. His breath came in short and ragged gasps.

Kira broke into a run as soon as Luke came into view, almost tripping a few times. She stopped a few yards away from him, instead carefully moving towards him.

"'Lo," Luke managed to grunt as she approached, though he didn't move.

Kira kneeled next to him, placing her hand carefully on his back. "H-Hi Luke..." she murmured.

[Big Uri]

"Hi Kira. Sorry if I burnt you," Luke managed with difficulty. His skin was at a feverish temperature, but it was much more erratic than it usually was.

"D-Don't strain yourself..." Kira begged, a desperate look on her face. She didn't want to hurt him more...

"Breathing... a strain," Luke said with a mixture between a grunt and a chuckle.

Nathan shrugged before looking at Mealeny. "Even if you want company what did you think that following us would achieve?"
