After five minutes about half of the group had decided to leave and the rest stood awaiting Nathan's instruction.

He dipped into his summoning ability and four larger than normal eagles appeared. "Once you get on these they'll take you to a village, tell them that Heidi, Nathan and Tom sent you. Mention Heidi first mind. Then explain that we rescued you from some travellers, don't tell them anything about the tower until we're back..."

They all nodded and got atop the Eagles.

"You two got anything to say?" He asked to Heidi and Tom.

Amelia smiled and held out her hand.

"Don't mention Nathan at all," Heidi said, raising her voice, before quieting it a bit uncomfortably as she continued. "That'll raise questions, since I only told Simon that I was going somewhere with Tombo."

Joey nodded, and shook her hand.

"Good point." Nathan noted at the group. "It'll take you about three weeks to get there as the Eagles will be taking you on a course to avoid any of the big five. You'll know the settlements when you see them."

With that the Eagles flapped their wings and took off at a leisurely pace and Nathan turned to look at Tom. "Bring that tower down."

"I'm honestly hoping that your village and the Illuminati can put aside their differences in the near future." The woman responded. "But for that to happen the leaders of the respective groups are going to have to sort things out. That means Nathan, Eithne, you, Erika and Heidi all need to put the past behind you."

Joey nodded. "I know...but some things, are really hard to get past."

"Also...You forgot Ade."

Tom gestured with one hand, the tower suddenly keeling over right, thundering down where the tip of the tower connected with some rocks Tom created, some of the walls crumbling as the blind man's Flow did its work. It kicked up a massive dust cloud, but when it was done, Tom looked over at his allies.

"Five years is a long time hold grudges, if the six of you -Ade included- don't learn when to stop you'll end up as twisted and bitter as Luke is now..." Amelia said with a sigh. She'd helped fix up most of these adults back during the tournament and seeing them all hate each other wasn't a nice idea for some with such a positive disposition as her.

"I know what Nathan did when he was in the tournament, during the attack on the tower by Shima and the incident with Delmer were all dark things. But you're not all as innocent as you make out, and you're all a lot more similar than you think."

"Thank you." Nathan said calmly before sighing and folding his arms. "I'm guessing that the two of you are still intent on continuing on with me?"

Heidi coughed, pulling her poncho over her nose and mouth so she didn't inhale anymore dirt. "Good job, Tombo," she stated, a little relieved to see the tower go down. "Maybe we should burn it, too."

Turning to Nathan, she pointed to Tom. "Get rid of the trigger. You've got empathy now."

"Don't order me." Nathan said calmly although his facial expression said otherwise. "You have no understanding at all what we'll have to go through in order to completely beat this trigger."

He cracked his knuckles. "It isn't as simple as me going into Tom's mind and waving my hand. Shima was the strongest psychic that this world has seen. My Telepathy isn't as strong as his was, yet and he was bolstered by being a complete psychic."

"So what, are you saying you can't do it?" Tom asked, his tone calm as usual.

"That was the deal, Nathan. We help you get empathy, along with your stupid hard drive, and you get rid of Tom's trigger," Heidi snarled. "So, you lied to us because you were too weak to achieve your own goals?"

"Amelia...In this world, things aren't easily forgiven." Joey said. "...I'm not saying it can't happen, but it won't happen instantly....these things take time."

In a flurry of Super Speed Nathan appeared in front of Heidi with his sword tip at her throat. "Don't ever. Call me weak." He snarled in a rare flash of anger.

"You think I don't know that!?" Amelia asked hormonally. "Shima killed my Sister... but that didn't stop me from learning to forgive after five years..." A tear appeared in her eye but she wiped it away.

"The only reason I'm talking to you about this is because out of all of them you're the one who seems most likely to show some humility and common sense..."

Tom grabbed Nathan's neck, wrenching him away from the girl.

"Careful, Nathan. Answer the question," he said, his calm tone in place, but his eyes glinting dangerously.

Simon stopped running when he reached the village, taking in lungfuls of air as he leaned agaisnt a post.

Nathan reasserted himself and forced himself to calm his anger. "I never said I couldn't do it, Tom." He said calmly. "I just mean it's going to be difficult."

"Well, then let's get it over with," Heidi scowled, rubbing her neck. Bastard had almost skewered her.

"So what are you going to do?" Tom asked bluntly, letting go of Nathan neck and allowing him to breathe properly again.

Elena arrived a few minutes later, frowning. "You cheater! I never said it was a race!" she accused.

Should I even bother restoring Tom to full control? With the trigger in him I can control him and essentially defeat him without too much fuss. However by restoring him, I'm basically allowing someone else to remain who has the same amount of power as me. Meh... guess its a sacrifice I'll have to make.

"First of all I'm going to use the trigger which will mean that Heidi and I are going to have to fight you. All whilst I enter your mind and help you fight Shima out from the inside. To do that I'll have to use Empathy and Telepathy at the same time. After we've beaten Shima we're going to have to completely destroy whatever it was in your concious that Shima linked the trigger to."

Simon didn't reply and continued to breathe. In and out. In and out...

Elena's frown deepened, something resembling concern flickering across her face. "Are you okay?" she asked.

Simon didn't reply again. Taking out Heidi's knife, he stared at the post for a minute. After this, the knife was raised and the black-haired boy began to cut and stab the post furiously.

"What do you mean, 'destroy some of my conscious'?" Tom asked, raising a bushy eyebrow.

"Maybe I put that wrong, you're going to have to over come an issue or something in your past which has the trigger tied to it." Nathan answered.
