"Don't you dare start screwing with my head, Nate," Heidi scowled. "I'd prefer to keep my thoughts at least mildly private. Now get your ass over here and find the fucking hard drive before the reinforcements I'm sure these people had arrive."

"You don't even know how I got Telepathy..." Nathan murmured half to himself as he went over and removed the hard drive. "If you did... you'd hate me more."

He sighed and placed a hand on his cranium. He wasn't use to sensing emotions and it was bringing out more of his own.

"Probably," Heidi shrugged in reply. "Let's just hurry up and find the DQ room, free the people, and get the hell out of here. Nostalgia Lane is not bein' a very fun place."

Nathan nodded and quickly shut off Empathy. "I can help Tom with the trigger now..." He mused as they returned to the elevator. Darkness curling around him.

"Do you have any idea where the DQ room is? I've never been there," Heidi asked, coughing a bit. Damn wall crawler had probably stabbed her a little deeper than she'd originally thought...

"Sense the flow of the whole tower and then find a blank spot..." Nathan responded, deep in thought. He heard her cough and raised an eyebrow. "You okay?"

"I'm fine," Heidi snapped, coughing again a bit more violently, adding the drops of blood she'd coughed up to her spear. "Not everyone can regenerate like you."

Nathan frowned and pulled out a needle, holding it out for her. "You need to be at your best."

"I said I'm fine," Heidi muttered defensively, crossing her arms.

"I don't care what you said." Nathan frowned irritably. "He wounded you, now heal yourself."

Heidi scowled, snatching the needle and injected the blood into her side, near the wound. "There, happy now?" she asked irritably.

"Ecstatic." Nathan answered dryly as the doors opened and they headed towards the DQ room.

Heidi clutched her spear defensively as she followed behind Nathan.

Nathan frowned and glanced at the wall that they had come to. He flexed his hand and he interjected his pure flow through the wall completely obliterating it and revealing a room that was pure white and filled with at least twenty teenagers of about fourteen to eighteen.

Heidi stepped beside Nathan, frowning. "Oi, you all want out, don't you? Hurry up and follow us unless you want to be captured by the Big Five's cronies," she stated, looking over the crowd.

Kira sighed quietly when Luke didn't respond, deciding that maybe he just wanted to be left alone. She had been rather clingy today... She silently left the treehouse, walking towards the water, where she'd left her jacket and the charm she'd made to help Luke with his nightmares. It was almost finished, at least...

"That sounds... fair." Amelia noted. She folded her arms and frowned. "However... as payment for checking our people you will have to let them leave with a basket of your strawberries."

"I. Need. Strawberries."

Nathan frowned as the group stepped forward and he folded his arms. "Follow me if you don't want to be killed or get put back here." With that he gestured for Heidi to follow and began to walk away.

Heidi rolled her eyes, following after Nathan.

Luke sat in Kira's treehouse without responding, staring into space. He had his hand on his knees clenched quite tightly, an anger building in him. He just didn't understand how that Amelia girl could forgive Shima's group for abducting her and killing her sister. It just didn't make sense to him. Nathan's mind manipulation powers sprung to mind and he suddenly realised Kira had left when he had been away in his own world. He was annoyed with Tom for going off with Nathan even though Nathan had to have been the one who used his trigger. It couldn't have been Eithne and Nathan was the one more likely to do something like that, right. Idly he stroked the charred flesh on the right side of his face.

As soon as they were outside the tower, Nathan turned and looked at the group of twenty.

"As far as the twenty of you go, you're free to make your own choice as to what you do now." He announced to them all. "If you wish to join a safe haven of people who will offer you protection as well as a place to stay then we can send you to our people."

"You have five minutes to decide." He said calmly.

Tom's mouth twitched behind his beard.

You mean you can send them to your people.

Heidi moved over towards Tom, deciding to let Nathan take care of the DQ'd people. "Guess who got Empathy?" she grinned.

"Nate did, did he? Good to hear, let's see how this works out," Tom smirked.

"Yep, we should get 'im to get rid of th' trigger once he's done with this...mess," Heidi stated, moving her foot as a gesture towards the disqualified. "Though, by 'our' people, I dunno if he means the Illuminati or th' village, because the two groups are definitely not the same thing."

Kira sat by the water, holding a small chip of wood and a sharp rock, working on engraving pictures of the plants she had put in the pouch for Luke, so he could find new plants on his own when these lost their scent. She momentarily wondered if he was going to leave soon, and hoped he didn't try to attack the Illuminati, or something...

"Deal." Joey said. They had a surplus of strawberries, so it was no big cost.
