Freddie smiled at that, but the smile had slightly lessened by the time they got to the murder scene, a seedy apartment building in a shifty area. He did't like going into these places, it felt like he could feel the death in the air of any scene he'd been to, all through his Meisterhood. Still though, a brave face never hurt, so he kept up his good-natured expression.

A couple hours later...

The two were walking through the city, gathering information, when a scream rang out from nearby.

"Every seat's a DS seat!" Abby complained.

"So the attacker came through the window, most likely," Freddie announced. "The head's pointing towards the door, and the victim died of blunt force trauma to the back of the head. So she had to have fallen forward."

Freddie opened the window, noting a fire escape on te other building and mentally gauging the distance between the fire escape and the window.
