"He was attacked, by a group of other people using flow." Jacob answered. "He survived but he's gone off to investigate it, alone like normal." He received a slap upside the head from Carly for this as she rolled her eyes.

"Basically..." Elliot began. "Boss-man still wants to protect the lot of us, so until he knows the concrete facts he wants to do everything himself whilst we combine our forces and are less likely to be killed."

"Nathan never really have a clue, did he?" asked Tom from behind them. While he wasn't a loud man, Tom couldn't resist bringing these men's egos down every once in a while by showing their barriers weren't any good against him. He didn't like these people who had been taken in by Shima who had ruined him. Nathan was unlabelled in Tom's mind, and was merely to be treated carefully. These were afforded no such courtesy.

"No wait, don't answer that. I don't want to hear your sycophantic answers," he changed his mind abruptly, his voice a bit more mature than usual. His hair obscured his eyes. "You're all so far up your own arses you still think the world revolves around your wishes. You claim to be oh so misunderstood, but you still resort to threats as your first port of call for persuasion."

Heidi glanced worriedly at Tom, before letting out a sigh. "Despite Erika's fascination with your leader, or ex-leader I suppose, I'm with Tombo on this one. You're all full of bullshit. Stay the hell away from us," she stated, reaching into her pocket and feeling her knife.

Luke was tossing and turning in his sleep, occasionally moaning and, on at least one occasion, almost screaming. He was lucky not to have woken Kira up.

"No, I wouldn't-" he was groaning right before he was woken up. "Kira, good to see you. What was that you were saying?"

That was when the pressure hit him, and he instantly became awake, almost feral in his movements. He grasped for his sword, pulling his pair of trousers underneath his blanket and wriggling into them. He then stood up, belting on his knives.

"May not be the time to ask, but could you make me a staff for walking, please? Sturdy enough to withstand a decent bit of abuse. Only my sword is a bit short to use as a walking stick."

Elliot let out a laugh before smirking.

"No threats were issued, merely statements." Jacob said before he and the others turned away. "But just remember, if the group is strong enough to almost kill Nathan, what makes you think that you're all so good that you can turn away potential allies just because you simply don't like the one's who've lead them in the past?"

Carly unlike the other two had turned away and was already motioning for them to turn around.

A look of concern briefly crossed Kira's face, before she nodded, a branch sprouting from the floor. She snapped it off, holding it out to Luke questioningly. "I-Is...this okay?" she asked, biting her lip nervously, her gaze flickering to the direction of the village.

"Just because your leaders have been our enemies doesn't change the fact that we're still careful people. We don't let everyone simply waltz in here," Heidi stated, pointing her spear in the direction of the gates. "There are adults here, strong fighters. Nathan's just one person."

"There's a difference between being careful and ignorant." Elliot trilled with a smirk in Heidi's direction. "Not to mention just plain dumb." He was stopped by Jacob and gave a dejected sigh before joining Carly.

Jacob looked at the group up and down, counting them before shaking his head. "At best you have ten capable fighters all of whom except two Nathan would most likely be able to defeat. He may just be one person but with the numbers that he went against you are all more than likely to quickly succumb against."

"Another fact you might like to know is that one of them had Telekinesis. But it's obvious that you all seem frightened of your own shadows to listen to reason so we'll leave." He turned and begun to walk away.

"Ignorance. Is your new bestfriend." He stated as the group all began to walk off.

Luke grasped the staff, testing its weight. Once he was satisfied, he smiled. It was just what he needed.

"It's perfect, Kira, thanks," he replied, leaning on it.

Tom gave a dangerous smile, an almost eerie look on his face with his eyes obscured.

"You're forgetting who's here, Elliot. We're Acer contestants here, and we had to grow tough without Shima coddling us. Ultimatums aren't the best way to make friends. Not that Nathan could have told him, but Eithne might've."

Heidi grumbled to herself, her spear coiling around her arm as she shoved her hands in her pockets. "Fucking Nathan, always ruining my day," she grunted, pacing by the gates, trying to get a clearer head to think things through.

"Y-You're welcome..." Kira mumbled a bit embarrassedly, walking out of the house, a vine taking her down to the ground, a second one hovering in the air as an offer to Luke.

Kira nodded, moving towards the village, though not too quickly so Luke could keep up. "I-I hope no one's hurt..."

Carly stepped forward and viewed Joey, Erika and Tom. "Bit hypocritical, don't you think? Accusing us of threatening us, before doing the exact same yourselves?"

She then turned to Heidi and raised an eyebrow. "You think he coddled us? How two dimensional is your mind? When he first took over he was intent on us all reaching our true power. We still train every day so that we aren't just his army, and in return he respects us and we respect him."

"Come off it, girly. Maybe not coddled in the sense you're thinking of, moreso, he's going to protect you from all the little bad people in the world, so you don't break a nail. We've been protecting ourselves. You may be an army, but, as you claim, Nathan's still stronger than all of you. Stop pretending that you were capable of surviving by yourself for so long, because quite honestly, you're all weak for relying on him."

Don't particularly like fighting, surprising though that may be," Tom replied, wondering how they decided who got to speak when, while simultaneously deciding to subvert the order. He missed both Elliot's wink and gesture.

"Well, you did," he pointed out to Elliot.

"Then why did he leave to go off by himself if this is such a threat?" The woman replied to Adam. "All of you may look to him as your leader, but we knew Nathan before that happened. And up until a few days ago, we haven't seen him much. So maybe it seems like we're jumping to conclusions... but you don't know our memories, no matter how many files on us you read."

For the moment, please set up your own camp or village a a good distance away from us, or leave." The woman announced to all of them.

Heidi grinned eerily, her spear forming in her hand once again. "Sounds fun," she chuckled, twirling her spear as a red wisps of Flow curled around her. "Oi, Jojo, make me some walls, so I can't get out and kill everyone," she ordered, a playful tone still hinting in her voice. She was going to enjoy this.
