"Yeah," Luke replied, gesturing at his bundle of clothes. He held up a box of matches, too, before setting them down on a shelf. "I got these too, since I wasn't sure if there were any of them of where you were."

"Y' say it like it's a bad thing," Heidi laughed. "Emotions let us know we're alive, y'know, they ain't bad. You should try it sometime."

"O-Okay...L-L-Let's g-g-go th-then..." Kira mumbled, stepping back outside, her gaze flickering anxiously around the village. She didn't like it here...not one bit.

Well... basically you've signed yourself up to take over my job if I die. Nathan responded to Joey after using an ability he'd picked up before.

Luke nodded in response, leading the way out, since he knew Kira didn't like to lead.

"Thanks," he told Heidi as he passed, nodding to Erika.

Heidi's eyes flickered over the things Kira and Luke were carrying, subtracting them from her mental inventory. "'Welcome," she replied, though merely for the sake of civility, before turning back to Tom. "Still say it like it's a bad thing," she laughed. "How many times t'day have I tried to kill someone? I think that might be a little overly emotional."

Kira waved her hand slightly to Heidi and Erika as a sign of thanks, staying close to Luke as they walked through the village.

Joey clenched his fists when Nathan used Telepathy, but sighed. "...Nathan, what is this all about?"

"Once. Unless you're counting Shima," Tom replied. "And hey, sometimes it's a bad thing, sometimes it's a good thing. Being detached is good at times, but it's got some big downsides at the same time. Everythin' in moderation."

Luke continued on past the group, shifting uncomfortably at the looks his burn scars got from some of the villagers.

"Bleh, I hate it when you make sense," Heidi sighed jokingly, slumping over.

Noticing the people staring and Luke's discomfort, Kira sped up slightly, walking next to Luke and grasping his hand, giving him a comforting smile. This was why she hated people, they were all so cruel. Luke was a good person, and yet they all looked at him like he was some sort of freak.

Kira nodded, looking at what little was visible of her forest through the buildings. She'd be happy when they got back, the village was simply too crowded and structured for her liking.

Heidi stood up straight, opening her mouth as she racked her mind for a retort, coming up with nothing. "...Damn you," she grumbled after a moment.

Tom laughed again, over his earlier encounter with Shima. He had cheered up immensely even in the last few minutes.

"I'll count that as a victory then," Tom replied, still grinning.

Kira let out a small sigh of relief as they passed through the gates, as if she'd been holding her breath. Focusing on the forest for a moment, she noticed that Joey was still in there, with someone else... Probably just another villager.

"Someone strong over there," Luke piped up idly, finding recognising Flows difficult these days. As with most everything, he blamed Nathan.

"J-Joey's in there...th-the villagers sometimes look for firewood or small animals o-on the outskirts... It's f-fine..." Kira shrugged. It was odd when a day went by when one of the villagers didn't go into her forest. She didn't mind as long as they didn't come too far in, then they might hurt her.

Kira reluctantly nodded after a bit, though she didn't quite agree with Luke. She didn't want him to be upset because she knew he was a good person, but she wasn't as good of a person as Luke, nor would she ever be. "O-Okay..."

Erika took a deep breath after Kira and Luke left. Will have to talk to the Illuminati about are rules about not going to far into the forest without Kira's permission.

The brunette then turned to Heidi and Tom. "Uh, Heidi? There's something I need to tell you..."
