Heidi let out a small sigh, crossing her arms. "If you must know, it certainly upset me, but I'll get over it. Again, I'm not the one with the fragment in my head," she stated uncomfortably. She didn't want to appear so weak, especially after how helpless she'd felt not even an hour ago.

"Yeah...remind me t' beat th' shit outta Eithne next time I see 'im. Unless we 'figger out th't someone else set off th' trigger, then I'll kick both of their asses," Heidi stated, standing up and peering over the edge of the pillar. She'd gotten up on her own, but she was certainly glad she wouldn't have to find her own way down.

"I remember pulling Nathan and Eithne away from the main fight so they wouldn't get through to the weaker contestants and kill them. I only did it cos' they were standing beside each other, made it too easy to move the earth away. I went toe-to-toe with 'em, I remember that much, but around the trigger is a compete blur," Tom explained painfully.

Heidi's face turned a little pink at that comment, thankful that Tom was blind. "Just shaddup and let's get moving back t' the village," she muttered, poking the edge of the pillar with her foot.

Instead of falling, the pillar rose, depositing them a little in from the edge of the sinkhole. The stairs sealed themselves up, and the pillar sank back into the ground.

"Don't pat me on the head," Tom suddenly mumbled as he finally stood up. "Makes me feel short."

Nathan frowned as he looked over some of Shima's more secretive files. He was in a dimly lit room in the former base of the Illuminati.

With a growl he knocked the file off of the table and glanced over at the computer. He still hadn't been able to access it and getting through the encryption was beginning to seriously annoy him.

He kicked out at the table and knocked another file over that had been leant against the computer. If only he knew more about Shima. Before the man's untimely death Nathan hadn't been in the best of places and so he hadn't gotten to know anything about the man.

Glancing down at the file he noticed something. It was a map of some kind.

....

And on it were five dots as well as what looked like a massive square centred behind them all. He also noted a small x mark which he could only deduce was Shima's base.

Seven squiggles also existed dotted around the map at different places and also in different terrain.

Could it be...? If it is... then I can't keep it. Nor can the Illuminati. For fuck sake... that leaves only one option.

But... I'm really not in the mood for either Erika nor Heidi...

Which leaves... Joey or Ade.

He rolled the map up and stuck it inside his jacket pocket. Before leaving the room.

Time for a talk with my polar opposite...

Heidi glanced over at Tom, sighing. Had she actually offended him? Geez, he was so moody and unpredictable when Shima screwed with his head. "Sorry, Tombo," she grunted reluctantly. Apologizing was rather uncommon for her, and it felt really uncomfortable.
