Heidi's hands were clenched in fists, shaking slightly. She didn't like having problems that she couldn't punch her way out of, and Tom wasn't here to help her think it through. "Leave Tom alone. He doesn't deserve to have you fucking up his head all the time. He's already blind, he doesn't need you making his head crazy, too! Just get the hell out!"

Because he's going to be feeling them," Shima laughed, fighting back Tom's mental presence. "You really do feel sorry for him, don't you? Oh, poor little blind boy, has to deal with more problems. We've all got our problems. He's managing fine, isn't he? Well, I suppose now I should say I'm managing fine."

He was mocking her. Heidi hated it. Shima was right in front of her, hurting Tom, and yet she could do absolutely nothing about it. She couldn't hit him, that would hurt Tom. She couldn't convince him to go away, she wasn't smart enough for that. "I don't feel sorry for him, I just don't think anyone deserves to live with someone as annoying as you in their head," she muttered.

Heidi twinged. She wanted to hit him so bad, but it was Tom she'd hit, not Shima. "Tom's not annoying," she retorted lamely, Flow leaking off of her and swirling around her faintly.

"Of course it upsets me, he's my friend!" Heidi hissed, struggling to calm her breathing. She hated this helpless feeling.

Elena nodded happily. "A walk sounds fun, right Simon?"

"Hmmm. It's upsetting him too, he's starting to take control. Oh well, I haven't had so much fun in ages. Bye now Heidi. I'm sure I'll talk to you again soon."

With that, the blue tint faded, and regular old Tom came back, nursing a gigantic headache by clutching his head for a second before he regained his composure.

"Are you alright? I didn't do anything bad, did I?"

Heidi shook her head, resisting the urge to hit something. She swallowed back her Flow, remaining quiet as she tried to get ahold of her temper again.

Tom felt a similar kind of helplessness like the feeling Heidi had experienced only moments ago, and he lay back, looking up at the sky and trying to get his head in order.
